Japanese are herbivores (4)

  September 15, 2001

On the first weekend after the Sept. 11 attacks, Gamagogi took Kwon's hand and went to Hiroshima Airport and booked a flight to Beijing to transfer plane flight to Pyongyang. Homeroom teacher Mrs.Hinata hugged him and saw him off. The two got married at a Hiroshima on Friday and before saying goodbye. She was a North Korean national, but could not go together to North Korea because she had already obtained Japanese citizenship. "Make a phone call when you arrive! I love you!" After parting with her, the two boarded the plane. The plane departed soon.

When the plane arrived in Beijing, Gamagogi booked a hotel for Kwon Jeong-pil. Then, he answered a phone call and left, saying that he had something to do in private. Kwon wondered what was going on. "…I got a call from the Joseon General Association, Comrade Gogi. You're coming back to Pyongyang University for good? Good job. Nothing is better than your hometown, right? By the way, I heard you're conducting the experiment?" Gamagogi nodded. "… I met a high level of sociopathic personnel similar to mine. He's only 11, so it seems that he's controllable and useful for experimentation. If we use his brain, I think we'll succeed in the experiment." There was a voice of concern over the phone

"Well, I must say, apart from targeting children, the leadership doesn't like the idea because it's threatening to their position.'' Gamagogi nodded. "I'll keep that in mind."

Kwon Jeong-pil, who changed his name to Gamamusa, was bored in his hotel room. He thoughtlessly looked through the bag of Gamagogi and found several scientific papers. He read all the papers. They were all experiments on microbiology and brain science. A particular paper caught his eyes. "…How to make humans into herbivores..." Gamamusa wondered what kind of paper this was about. It had a very insane plan. Gamamusa covered the paper. "… No way. This couldn't be really possible." Gamamusa was looking further through the bag of Gamagogi and found a badge with a face of an old man. He put it on his clothes and rubbed it with his hands. The badge, which looked quite silly, made him laugh. But he quickly became bored again. Gamamusa quietly looked outside the hotel room, and then decided to get out.

Baek sat at a table in the living room. There are three people sitting around him. "Hello, it's been a long time, Hyung-jin." Baek was astonished to see Lee Yeol-gi. He was definitely the cook, Park Sung-jae. "…Why are you here? Where did your glasses go? You became a completely different person without glasses." Park Sung-jae replied with playful eyes. "I gave the glasses to the guy. You know? The guy who was going to kill you and Kim Dae-hyun in the military." Baek was puzzled. "… Wasn't that you?"

Jang stopped the conversation. "Come on, everyone. Let's stop the mall talk and talk about the important things. Everyone, do you agree on letting in Baek Hyung-jin as our newest member?" Lee Yeol-gi and Go Ah-young raised their hands to express their approval. Jang Cheol-dae also raised his hand. "You apologized to our son, so there's no reason to oppose anymore. This passed with a unanimous vote. Congratulations, Baek Hyung-jin. You are a part of us now, too." Baek looked puzzled. "Mister, didn't you bring me here to get an apology? What do you mean I'm a new member? What member?"

Lee Yeol-gi extended his finger to Baek Hyung-jin. "You have to thank us for letting you join as the knights of the roundtable!" Go Ah-young blushed at the sound of Lee Yeol-gi's bullshit, and Jang Cheol-dae looked at him as pathetic as he was. "Never mind that guy, Hyung-jin. I'll explain it to you, so follow me."

Gamamusa sat in the lobby of the hotel and waited for Gamagogi to come. After a while some South Korean children ran around and him and played games in front of him. Gamamusa looked at the children and wanted to join them, but he couldn't speak to them because he was too embarrassed. He was treated like a bully at the Joseon school and in orphanage because he didn't get along with the children very well. Soon, some of the children noticed him and ran up to approach him. Gamamusa thought they were trying to play with him, so he extended his hand. The leader of the children pulled out his badge from his clothes. "Wow, is this Kim Il-sung badge? Hey, I never expected to see a North Korean around here." Gamamusa looked up at him with a puzzled look on his face. He reached out his hand to grab the badge that belonged to Gamagogi, fearing that he might lose it. "Hey, hands off me, you commie bastard." The children's leader pushed him aside. Gamamusa fell back and looked up at the children. "Hey, what are you looking at? Oh, right. This badge must be precious in your country, right? Fetch it." The child threw the badge away.
