Chapter 9 - Dungeon Bound IV

Wanting to head over to that dungeon in a jiffy, our person rushes over to the nearest equipment shop, trying to find anything that might suit him.

  "Hello, is anyone in there..?"

The, blacksmith, in a deep tone, can be heard from within the forge shouting:

Blacksmith: Yeah! yeah! coming. Give me a minute.

Our person walks in, decides on looking around.. the vast amount of equipment on the walls, Shining swords, heavy looking armor.. It made him gaze in awe.

"Damn, I wonder how much of this I could buy..."

The blacksmith comes out, he stands very tall, dressed with leather protection.

Blacksmith: So, what brings you here?

  "I was uh.. Just wondering.."

He drops out his Golden coin onto the wooden desk.

"What could i purchase exactly, with this Golden coin?"

The Blacksmith takes a short glance at the Golden piece, with slight irritation.

Blacksmith: ..What are you even looking for? Swords? Armor? Metal?

"What type of.. Sword could I get?

  Blacksmith: Just a sword?

  "Hmm.."

He thinks, for brief moment.. What purpose would armor serve? If any injuries were sustained, Thea would simply heal him back at the Inn.

And What use would armor bring without a weapon?

  "Yeah.. Just the sword please."

The Blacksmith Walks over to one of the swords on display. Held by two shiny metal racks.

Blacksmith: How does this one suit you? She goes way back.. A real artifact.. If you will.

He puts the sword down on the desk. It appears pristine, and glares a midnight-blue color.

Without wanting to waste anymore time, he takes it.

  "This should be fine."

  Blacksmith: Good enough.

He drops the Golden coin onto the table, and grabs the blade.

  "Thanks."

Blacksmith: Pleasure doing business, just.. Take good care of that sword, got it?

  "Sure thing.."

The Blacksmith, returns back into the forge, and our person steps right out of the shop.

If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

With the sword in hand, he peeked around the area one more time, and grinned.

  "I'm ready."

He set off, back down the path, making his walk back to the town gate.

"Man.. It feels like more than half my day has been taken up already.. Yet.. The Sun still all the way up there, in the middle of the sky."

With that in his mind, the Day and Night cycle here was surely different.

"...I Should've brought snacks from the inn."

"Ehh, it's whatever. I can simply get more when i get back from this dungeon."

At the town gate, he notices a very familiar pair of guards.

One of them looking around, he notices out person.

Leather guard: Well, look who it is.

  "This guy again.."

He said, with a grotesque stare on his face.

Leather guard: Oh i see you have a sword now.. Did you steal it?

  "W-what? No."

Leather guard: Why don't you allow me take a look at it?

Our person gripped his sword tighter, in nervousness.

Leather guard: Just as I thought... YOU STOLE IT! THIEF! THI-

As thing were about to escalate once more, another familiar face intervenes.

He grabs the leathered guard by the shoulder.

  Tall guard: Let. Him. Pass.

Leather guard: D-Okay! cut it out..

  "T-thank you."

Tall guard: Your leg looks.. better now. Glad to see that.

  "Yeah.."

Tall guard: Where are you heading anyway?

"I was thinking about going to a dungeon.. In the northwest? Or was it the.. northeast? Wah, I'm just going to a dungeon.

Tall guard: A dungeon, you'd best be careful then.

  "I will.."

  As he walks outside...

Leather guard: You.... You got lucky this time! I'll be watching you.

"I should probably ignore that guy from now on."

"Anyways.. If i remember correctly, it should be northeast from here.. I probably should've brought the paper with me."

And so.. He begins his trek toward the Tier 0 dungeon...
