As he opened his eyes... he noticed that, this thing that healed him.. It wasn't a person.. he noticed it was..
"..Another Wyvern..?"
The Wyvern.. Slightly larger than our person, a warm yellow in color, with cool blue eyes, accompanied by a worn out looking satchel.
???: Y-yeah that is what I am.
???: Now.. about that leg of yours, since my spell wasn't at full potency.. your leg will still feel a bit sore, sooo take it easy! Okay?
"Yeah, yeah sure."
"Now I..."
"I.."
???: Yes?
"..cant stand up."
???: Ah, should've said sooner!
They chuckled.
???: Let me help you up then...
As the healer accommodates our person, the surrounding townsfolk give them a rather.. ill-mannered stare..
"What's their deal? they look rather.. unfriendly."
???: Don't worry about them, they are uh.. probably just not used to seeing me, that's all.
???: Now lets hurry up and get you to an inn-
"No no, I don't think i even have enough to pay.."
???: Hmm.. I suppose i could pay for your needs.. Just this once.
"R-really?! I.. I'd really appreciate that, ..If it doesn't trouble you"
???: Don't mention it, just helping out those in need. That's all.
???: Alright, lets hurry up, the Sun is starting to set.
With the wind howling, and the sun nearing its fall, The healer aids our person, walking within the town center, looking for a place for him to settle for the night.
???: Uh... It should be somewhere..
???: There it is!
They entered the inn with an optimistic behavior, the inn, lit up by candles and lamps, inhabited by villagers, adventurers, some of them chatting, eating, having fun.. It felt.. warm.. welcoming inside.
"So this is it, huh?"
???: Sure is! now let me find the... Innkeeper so we can get you a room.
The healer went up to the counter to pay for said room.
Innkeeper: W-welcome! welcome.. how may I help you at this current evening?
???: I'd like to secure a room for this small fella over here.. How much would it be for.. lets say, 2 nights?
Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.
Innkeeper: That would be about.. 30 silver!
???: That's quite pricy, but eh. I'll take it.
The healer hands over 30 silver coins to the Innkeeper.
Innkeeper: Thanks! I believe your room number would be.. room 14.
???: Great! Alright, let me just help you over to your room real quick.
"I really owe you one.."
They browse the long corridor looking for his designated room.
???: Room 14.. Room 14.. Aha! Here it is..
They enter the room greeted by the soft surprise of a sweet aroma. One medium sized bed. And one candle to light up the room.
"Woah? It smells pretty nice in here."
???: It definitely does, although.. To me, this room is quiiiite small, for what its worth.
They say with a slight slouch.
"Oh, yeah.. you're a W-wyvern, after all, heh."
???: Now If you need anything I'll be by the main hall, but only until tomorrow.. I have something else to tend to.
"Yeah! thanks again.. By the way.. I didn't catch your name."
???: Actually, I definitely forgot to introduce myself, my bad.. The names Thealyn, or Thea, for short. Call me by either? I guess.
"I see, well Thea, If you aren't too busy, do you think you could stop by here for tomorrow morning?"
Thea: I'll see if I can make it by morning-
"Great! Ill see you by then."
Thea: I'm going now, again, if you need anything... Main hall.
"Got it."
As Thea leaves, she closes the door, the room quiets down, the silence, broken only by muffled talking in the distance.
"I can finally... fucking rest!"
He sinks into the comfy bed, filled with relief that he survived his first day.
"Awh that feels gooood..."
With nothing but sleep and rest on his mind.. His blows off the candlelight.. And mutters:
"I made it alive.! Successfully..."
"...Settling in.."
And just like that, he slowly but surely drifts into sleep...
