Shuchang was sitting in his brother’s office, looking at the papers Haoran had to go through. He was also waiting for Haoran to hear what the women had to say about the answers Shuchang gave them. Haoran walked into his white and royal purple marbled room while making a huge yawn. Out of the blue, he stopped when he saw Shuchang in the office. He was really stunned and flustered to see Shuchang here and actually looking at the papers. Normally, Shuchang would never be in the office because he never showed interest in working.

  “I’m surprised to see you here.”, Haoran walked further into the room.

  “I got bored so I decided to look at our family’s business papers. You’ve missed many deadlines ever since you became part of the academy.”, he mentioned.

  Haoran was surprised that Shuchang looked at the reports considering that Shuchang didn’t like reading. “I know because the physician and academy work has been a lot.”, he sat on the opposite side.

  Shuchang decided to make a suggestion. “Then how about I take care of your business in the meantime.”

  He was more stunned to hear that Yuxuan wanted to work. Before, he never wanted to work at all. Haoran also blinked a few times when he heard that. “You really want to work?”, he asked with a raised brow.

  “Absolutely. Let me help you out so you got one thing out of your plate. And now that our father will soon be retiring, I can take over.”, he mentioned.

  Haoran couldn’t believe that Shuchang wanted to work and how mature he turned out to be. But Haoran was still having concerns about Shuchang helping him because Shuchang had never worked before or had any interests in working before the shipwreck incident.

  “Are you sure that you want to do this? Being a merchant requires a lot of responsibilities.”, Haoran asked.

  “I’ll handle it and I’ll learn as the days go on. If I need help, I’ll ask you or our father.”, he said. “What do the ladies have to say about my answers?”

  Shuchang nodded while looking at the window. “What else did they say?”

  “Oh yes, they need the names of the female companions who forced you to have sex. You can write them down now.”, he remembered.

  Shuchang pulled out the white and royal purple quill. Then he started writing a long list of names on the royal purple paper. Haoran was again stunned about the long list of the names on the paper. Yaithra was right, the case was getting longer and longer.

  Haoran looked at the long names. He was really disgusted with names he was looking at right now, some of them he did recognise. “Okay, I’ll show my companions.”, he said and also started writing a letter to Samantha.

  Shuchang nodded and watched Haoran getting up from the chair. Haoran walked to the door with the paper in his hand. Shuchang’s hand went by his chin while he was thinking really hard about this case. A different shade owl landed on the desk in front of Shuchang. He gently pulled out the red envelope from its mouth. The envelope wasn’t sealed because it was urgent.

Samantha was in her office, starting to make questions for the tests and the assignments. She was also waiting for Shilin to tell her what time she and the sisters could travel to Novaria.   Lithanya and Yaithra were sitting in their usual corner with their friends. They were doing the homework together so they could finish faster and spend more time learning for their tests and doing their assignments. They weren’t allowed to talk about the cases they were doing until they successfully solved them.

  Jullien decided to have a conversation. “So, what awards will we get for solving the cases successfully?”, he asked.

  “No awards.”, Cassian answered.

  “No awards?”, Rosalina sounded shocked. “That’s ridiculous. So, we’re doing these cases for nothing”

  “I know, absolutely ridiculous.”, Rebecca said with frustration

  “Has anyone succeeded in their spiritual power yet?”, Annabella asked.

  “No.”, they answered.

  Yaithra was unusually starting to feel dizzy. “Mr Willywood told us that we should start to succeed by this week.”

  Annabelle was going through the list of investigators with their speciality powers. “There’s a Christmas Knight.”, she mentioned.

  “Christmas Knight?”, they looked at the book. “And Halloween Knights?”, they were more stunned.

  Yaithra wanted to join them but she wasn’t feeling right. Her attention went to the entrance. “Oh no.”

  Everyone looked at the entrance and saw Yichen coming into the building. They were surprised to see him in the library. Normally, after classes he would be in the fanciest restaurants or in The Sorceresses Inn with his spoiled brat mistress. Everyone turned away and looked at their books. If anyone showed eye contact, Yichen and his friend had found his target. But he already found his target even though they weren’t looking at him.

  “Princess Lithanya, I see you’re taking this academy education very seriously.”, he said loudly.

  That’s not true.

  Lithanya had shown no interest in the academy since no one cared and she was only to recuse the people. Also to find the person who killed Haoran’s best friend.

  Annabelle came closer. “Don’t answer, that’s a trick statement.”, she whispered to Lithanya.

  “You don’t need to answer for her. Lithanya has her own mouth and voice.”, Yichen spat. Lithanya ignored him and continued looking at her work.

  Yaithra came closer. “Lithanya, can you take me to a physician?”

  Lithanya glanced at her with concern. “Why? Are you okay?”

  “I’m feeling really dizzy.”, she answered.

  “Okay.”

  “Take me there quickly.”, she cried.

  “Okay.”, Lithanya got up quickly then turned around to only see Yichen in front of her. “Can you move out of the way? I need to take my sister to the clinic.”, she protested.

  “Why? Are you using this as an excuse?”

  Lithanya looked at him with her eyes shocked. “Look at her, can’t you see that she isn’t looking right?”

  Yichen looked at Yaithra who already fell on the ground, unconscious. Lithanya was losing patience with Yichen so she punched him hard on the face. Also, to make him move out of the way. Everyone stopped what they were doing when they heard the loud punch. Stunned in their eyes to see Yichen on the ground and they were more stunned to see it was Lithanya who punched him.

  Lithanya squatted down and picked her up. Then she carried Yaithra in her arms while looking at Yichen.

  “Impulsive man, like always.”, she hissed then walked to the entrance.

  Her friends grabbed the books then followed the sisters. Yichen’s friends picked him slowly then made him stand on his feet. Yichen watched the sisters walking away from him. Frustration appeared in Yichen’s eyes because this was the first time he got punched by someone and he wasn’t going to leave Lithanya alone.
