Chapter 35: Journey Through Middle Wildland II

Chapter 35: Journey Through Middle Wildland II

Mission: The Second Expedition Guide Program

The Beauty of the Moon in Middle Wildland

In Middle Wildland, the moon is never merely a celestial body — it is a presence.

  1. The Grand Full Moon

A massive, radiant full moon dominates the sky, sometimes veiled by thin drifting clouds. Its silver glow blankets the land like sacred dust, illuminating forests, valleys, and ancient ruins alike.

  2. Moonlight Reflections on Water

Still lakes and winding rivers mirror the moon perfectly, creating serene — sometimes haunting — landscapes where reality feels doubled, as though another world exists beneath the surface.

  3. Natural Landscapes of Many Realms

Mountains, pine forests, tropical groves, and vast wild plains stretch across the territory — representing the many climates and regions unified within Middle Wildland.

  4. Dramatic Night Skies

Some nights are crowned with golden clouds drifting across indigo skies. On others, stars scatter endlessly across the heavens like shards of crystal.

  5. Wild Trees & Tropical Shadows

Coconut palms and ancient wild trees stand beside alpine flora, hinting that Middle Wildland is not bound to a single climate — but is instead a convergence of mystical zones, from frostbitten peaks to enchanted tropics.

[Chapter: Exploring Middle Wildland – Part II]

At the front courtyard of HQ, beneath a muted morning sun struggling through eastern clouds, the second batch of interdimensional tourists gathered excitedly.

They carried holographic cameras, recording devices, and an overwhelming number of strange questions.

“Is it true there’s a tamed three-headed dragon here?”

“Can we take photos with a real werewolf? One that doesn’t bite?”

  Hasyalys sighed deeply.

Beside her, Dr. Nadia suppressed a smile as she watched two youthful-looking elves — whose true ages were far older than they appeared — observing the tourists with wide, curious eyes.

  Elian and Elira Thalara.

  Siblings from the Moonlight Territory.

Archivists and guardians of Middle Wildland’s historical library — personally sent by Goddess Diana to assist in guiding outsiders through the land’s structure and creatures.

  Hasyalys leaned toward Nadia.

“Big sis… we’re not the tour guides again this time, right?”

“Nope,” Nadia replied calmly. “Let the younger ones enjoy feeling like celebrities today.”

  She turned to the elves.

“Before your official mission begins with us, how about a quick tour of HQ? See where the defense operations of this world are managed.”

  Elira’s eyes lit up.

“It would be an honor, Lady Nadia.”

  Elian tilted his head slightly.

“We have heard stories of the holographic blossom control chamber. Is it true that it responds to the commander’s emotions?”

  Hasyalys chuckled.

  “You’ll see for yourselves.”

  Meanwhile – Outside HQ

Shinin, currently in his semi-beast human form, tail lazily swaying, walked while holding the tourist roster list.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

Beside him, Ritz cradled a baby dragon like it was a kitten. Fran attempted to calm two visibly shaken tourists who had just witnessed a giant salamander rolling across the field.

Zoarfang’s raspy voice cut through the chatter.

“So… we’re escorting all of them across Middle Wildland again?”

  Shinin smirked.

“Hasyalys’ orders. We split by main routes.

I’ll handle the southern and eastern beast zones. Fran and Aisha cover the west and the elf village. Zoarfang and Ritz manage the werewolf path up to Lysa’s territory. We regroup at the vampire capital.”

Aisha appeared gracefully from the side, clad in her Night Hunter attire.

“I’ll make sure they don’t get lost… or die in the bat caves.”

  Ritz blinked.

“Are we guiding tourists… or running a military operation?”

  Shinin grinned mischievously.

“Same concept. Just more selfies this time.”

  Mission Begins – The Expedition

The convoy departed from the south.

  Southern Beast Zone

Tourists gasped at the sight of armored rhino-lions and soaring tigerhawks trained as combat cavalry. Beast-tamers demonstrated control techniques through aura waves and precise hand signals.

  Holographic cameras flashed nonstop.

  Eastern Beasts Zone

The terrain turned harsh and arid.

Earth golems marched in patrol lines. Burrowing dragons tunneled beneath the sand. Massive carnivorous plants snapped lazily at the air.

Visitors were required to wear protective aura suits.

  Fran casually warned them:

“Don’t run if a tree tries to kiss you. That’s normal.”

Western Zone & The Elf Village

Crossing valleys and reflective lakes glowing under the rising moon, they reached the lush western region.

Here, symbiotic bonds between beasts and villagers flourished in harmony.

Aisha led the group toward the elf settlement, where Elian and Elira reappeared — now dressed in full ceremonial attire.

  Elira spoke gently:

“Every tree here carries a spirit. So… please refrain from relieving yourselves randomly.”

The tourists laughed — but one quickly capped their water bottle.

Final Phase – Werewolf Territory & The Bat Caverns

Zoarfang and Ritz guided the group into the werewolf lands — stone cabins, training grounds, and young werewolves practicing controlled transformations.

  Howls echoed across the hills.

  Then came the descent.

Nearly fifty kilometers of underground cavern pathways.

Narrow trails. Lost bats. Aura-based lighting systems controlled by mental focus.

It was here the tourists began to understand:

Middle Wildland was not merely wilderness.

  It was civilization.

  Strategy.

  Art.

  And disciplined magical power.

Arrival – Vampire Territory, City of Lysa

They emerged before a city of black stone glowing faint crimson.

  The capital of Lysa.

Lysa herself stood upon the palace steps, surrounded by elite vampire guards.

“Welcome to the final border before the outside world,” she declared.

“Here, all passage in and out of Middle Wildland is governed… by blood and trust.”

  The tourists stood frozen.

  Some in awe.

  Some trembling.

  Shinin leaned toward Fran.

“If they knew Lysa can smell human deception from a mile away…”

  Fran finished quietly,

“They’d be sprinting back through the cave.”

  Back at HQ

Hasyalys and Nadia observed everything through holographic displays, sipping their favorite tea.

“Looks like they survived all the way to the vampire palace,” Hasyalys said with satisfaction.

“We should give my siblings official tour guide certificates.”

  Nadia smirked.

“Or a patience award for Shinin.”

  Hasyalys laughed.

  “Maybe a life-guarding medal too.”

They both burst into laughter as the moonlight of Middle Wildland shimmered across the land — serene, powerful, and very much alive.
