'Did that surprise you?'
Arthur let out a faint chuckle. For some reason, he felt that this battle against humans was extremely entertaining and satisfying.
He had gained important information and tested his Skills against a new type of enemy—one far more intelligent and efficient in group combat than monsters, not to mention the variety of their Skills.
Suddenly, his ears twitched. He heard the sound of arrows and energy blades cutting through the air as they flew rapidly toward him.
Seriousness returned to his face, and he thought coldly, 'Enough playing around. It’s time to end this fight.'
He bared his fangs and bit the shocked Beaumont by the leg. Without giving him a chance to resist, he swung him and hurled him forcefully toward the incoming attacks of the other humans.
Bang!
Beaumont didn't have enough time to do anything. Helplessly, one of the energy blades struck him in the back, while a poisoned arrow pierced his shoulder.
His eyes widened to their limit, and he coughed up a large amount of blood.
Despite his body's toughness and armor, he sustained severe damage, and the force of the impact sent him crashing into a nearby tree, nearly unconscious.
"No!"
From a distance, the others screamed, watching helplessly as their leader fell by their own attacks. Their faces turned pale as despair set in.
With terrified expressions, all their eyes turned toward the wolf, who wore a savage smile and lunged toward them.
"Run!"
One of them screamed in terror and ran at full speed. The archer followed his lead and fled in a different direction, hoping at least one of them would survive.
As for the third one, the inexperienced young man, he fell into deep shock. He trembled violently and even wet himself.
Slowly, he backed away while screaming and waving his sword randomly until he tripped and fell.
At that exact moment, Arthur reached him. He casually dodged the young man’s extremely weak swing and slapped him hard across the face, knocking him out instantly. Then he said mockingly,

" Coward. "
After that, he ran after the archer. That guy in particular had hit him three times. There was no way Arthur would let him leave so easily without paying the price.
Even though the archer wasn’t that slow, the difference in Rank was obvious. Within seconds, Arthur closed the distance, then pounced from behind and slammed him face-first into the ground.
Dirt filled the human’s mouth. Desperate, he used all his strength to stand and resist. He lifted his head and tried to push himself up.
Indifferently, Arthur placed his paw on the man’s short-haired head, then forced it down again, grinding his face into the soil. With a wicked, arrogant smile, he said,
" Who told you to move? "
Ignoring the human struggling wildly beneath him, Arthur looked up at the clear sky and let out a short sigh.!
' I didn’t know beating humans could feel this refreshing. Heh… that’s a bit strange. They didn’t really do anything personal to me.
And yet, it feels like a lot of my pent-up anger just got released. When I think about it, this almost feels like I’m bullying them. ‘
He let out a low chuckle and thought with amusement,
' Alright… I shouldn’t get used to this and turn into a real bully. Honestly, I can understand where these feelings are coming from.
Fighting may be part of my daily life now, but when I fight monsters, it’s for survival and Evolution.
Humans, on the other hand, are a test I need to pass… to prove to myself that I’m no longer that weak person.
In my previous life, I always wished I could become stronger. I wanted everyone to fear me, so no one would ever dare mock me or bully me again. '
Memories of the past flashed through his mind. He muttered bitterly,
" How ironic. The enemies I once dreamed of beating during my teenage years don’t even exist anymore. I’m completely alone in this strange world.
I may be free, without chains… but I have nothing either. No home. No family. No friends.
How long will this last? I don’t know. Maybe forever. Or maybe fate has some unexpected surprises waiting for me. "
Arthur’s life had always been harsh and unpredictable. He didn’t truly think about the distant future.
There was no guarantee he would even live long enough to see it. All he focused on was moving forward step by step and enjoying the journey as much as he could.
Without dwelling on it further, he lifted his paw off the human’s head. The man was almost suffocating. Arthur then struck him hard, knocking him unconscious, and said slyly,
" Now that everything’s over… it’s time to collect some valuable loot. "
His sharp eyes scanned the poor human’s body. Without the slightest shame, he stripped him of everything, even his clothes, leaving him lying there in nothing but his underwear.
After storing everything inside "Dimensional Storage", he turned toward his next target, Amaya.
But halfway there, he suddenly stopped.
He sniffed the air sharply. Once again, he caught several familiar scents.
" More humans?! "
He frowned in clear annoyance and bared his fangs.
" Three of them are Rank D… and that guy who ran away earlier is with them. That’s bad. I don’t think fighting them this time would be wise. They’ll approach me much more cautiously. "
One of the main reasons he had managed to defeat the humans earlier with relative ease was the element of surprise.
On top of that, their formation had been incomplete. They didn’t have a proper frontline knight who could engage him directly and hold him back.
The Tank, Beaumont, was slow and overly focused on defense. His only real advantage was his "Taunt" Skill, which had been completely useless against Arthur.
As for the mage, Amaya, she was physically weak and relied entirely on mid- and long-range attacks. In close combat, she was practically a lamb waiting for slaughter.
And the three knights?
There was no need to even talk about them. Their low Rank E status and weak mental strength made them nothing more than pawns he could eliminate at any time.
Anyway, he didn’t have much time.
He quickly moved toward Amaya and took her magic staff, her important belongings, and her armor.
He at least left her clothes on. Not out of kindness, but simply because they were troublesome to remove and would waste precious time. He did the same to the young knight and to Beaumont.
After that, he searched for Beaumont’s Greatsword. Once he found it and stored it inside "Dimensional Storage", the approaching humans were already much closer. Only half a mile separated them now.
Without hesitation, he locked onto the scent of the two elf girls and followed it.
But after taking just a few steps, he froze.
His face turned pale instantly.
Slowly, very slowly, he turned his head to the left.
There, a beautiful woman stood quietly, staring at him with cold eyes filled with killing intent.
He had no idea when or how she appeared. But one thing was clear.
He was in serious trouble.
Forcing a stiff smile onto his face, he greeted her in a low voice.
" My lady… you’re here? How have you been? “
