Jacob looked at the Golems that ignored him and stared at the squad of Heart Guards and Cathrine that waited in the doorway. Until they crossed the threshold, they were safe. "Ok, so I will be back in a moment.' Jacob stated over his shoulder as he made his way over to a nearby Armor Stand and pulled the Blood Lords Armor set and shield off of it and shoved it into his inventory. Jacob pulled Moonlight up and it immediately shocked him a little bit. Jacob almost dropped it, but it was only a minor sting, nothing compared to what he had seen it do before. 'Yeah I know, I left you behind too." Jacob told the blade.
Jacob made his way over to the two books the resided within the Vault. Jacob took a moment and gathered his thoughts before placing his hands on either one and he was immediately transported to another place, or at least his mind was. Light, Dark, and Balance were waiting for him, all three were studying him intently before sighing in relief. "Umm, I am still me if that's what you were worried about. You can ask Elaine if you do not believe me." Jacob replied.
"It's not that we doubt you, it's just that Chaos can leave...lingering effects on those it touches." Light replied and the other two nodded.
Jacob nodded in understanding as he touched his right arm and where the tattoo was. "Oh, I understand that perfectly clear. She left her mark on me and I won't ever forget or forgive." Jacob replied. Light walked over and gently moved his sleave away revealing part of the tattoo.
"How are you doing boy?" Darkness asked as he walked over, looking at the tattoo more closely as well, while Balance just studied him.
"As well as can be expected. I did not come here to discuss my time with Chaos though. I need time to process that. I came here to ask about my child, can you three tell me what to expect? Will she be a Local or an Immortal?" Jacob asked them and all three shrugged.
"Jacob, this is whole new territory for us as well. We can only monitor what happens as it happens. An Immortal and a Local having children have always been a remote possibility since this world came into existence. We believe you succeded where others failed because of how close you are to this world. Your Mantle of Divinity and now you have chosen to up your Synchronization, it will pull you more into this world. Jacob, you have the potential to become one of the most powerful Immortals if not the most powerful Immortal in this world given time." Balance stated as he studied Jacob.
Jacob nodded his head, what he had failed to say was that it also made him more vulnerable to the threats to the world. Jacob knew if another Mantle barer killed him, it would be permanent in both worlds. "Ok, thank you for that information," Jacob replied as he closed his eyes and cut the mental connection to the meeting place.
Jacob quickly made his way out of the Vault, sealing it shut behind him and quickly grabbed Cathrine up and causing her to laugh for the first time since he had reappeared. "Gentlemen, its way past our bedtime, could you please escort us to the Master Suite and make sure we are not disturbed barring an emergency," Jacob stated and the four Blood Guards quickly formed up around them much to Cathrine's amusement.
Jacob smiled as he watched Cathrine sleep laying across his chest. Although he had thought they might have sex, the sheer magnitude of the situation had been a mood killer for both of them. Plenty of petting and kissing had happened, but no sex, not tonight. They had been very thorough in bathing each other though, oh well he thought. Jacob immediately started bringing up all his Notifications he had ignored while being a captive. All the level increases Jacob immediately dismissed. The others were far more interesting and concerning.

Jacob whistled softly causing Cathrine to shift partially and snuggle closer. Jacob kissed her head softly while caressing her arm to get her to settle down again. The Infamy boost he would prefer not to have, but the Fame boost was more precious than gold and almost as valuable as the Luck boost. Thinking of Luck, Jacob brought up his Character Sheet and started to distribute his Stat Points. With everything going on, he couldn't afford to sit on them any longer. Jacob dumped one hundred points in Constitution, fifty in Strength, and split the remaining points evenly between Intelligence and Wisdom, boosting both Stats by one hundred and twenty-eight. Jacob grunted as new power flooded his body and mind leaving him slightly disoriented.

Not bad, Jacob thought as he closed out his Character Sheet, and those Stats were without any boosting from equipment. Jacob then brought up his Blood Knight, Defender, and Shadow Magic Skill Trees. A notification immediately popped up.

Jacob grunted as the lost information flooded into his brain leaving him gasping for breath. Jacob almost cursed himself as Cathrine mumbled in her sleep as she snuggled further into his side. Jacob checked and it left him with six hundred and ninety-eight Skill Points and one hundred and fifty Utility Points.
Taking a deep breath Jacob concentrated on the Blood Knight Skill Tree and brought up the first branch, Protector of the Blood. After looking at the branch for a few minutes he made his choices and maxed out Blood Aura, Blood and Bone Armor, and Blood and Iron spending seven Skill points before moving on. The Blood Reaping branch had some of his more interesting Blood Knight Abilities. Jacob immediately maxed out Blood Rage, Reaver Attack, and Blood Sacrifice spending nine Skill points. Blood Sacrifice would provide a major boost to his physical damage in a pinch. Jacob dismissed the branch and moved on to the last, Heir of Blood. Bringing it up he immediately maxed out all the Skills in this branch. Between Strength of the Elders, Hemorrhage, Blood Letting, and Blood Fusion he spent eight more Skill Points and finally unlocking Blood Lord branch.
Looking at the Blood Lord branch, Jacob immediately maxed out both Heir of the Past and Sacrifice spending another twelve Skill Points. These two were just too powerful and useful to ignore Jacob thought. Especially Sacrifice, if he faced a win or die situation, it would become a powerful ace in the hole and coupled with Blood Sacrifice, it might be an unbeatable combination. Jacob glanced at his Character sheet, he still had six hundred and sixty-two Skill Points left. Plenty of points left considering they stopped accruing when he hit level two hundred. Jacob dismissed the Blood Knight tree and moved onto the Defender tree.
Bringing up the Shield Bearer Branch, Jacob immediately dumped eleven Skill Points into it and maxed out everything. Shield Mastery, Shield Charge, Shield Slam, and Spiked Shield provided to many critical benefits to his fighting style to ignore. Moving onto Press of Battle Branch, the Skills here were more focused on survival. Looking at the four available Skills of Battle Master, Defenders Resolve, Last Stand, and Ignore Wounds, Jacob didn't even hesitate and dumped fifteen Skill Points into the branch maximizing all the Skills. Looking at the Battle Master Branch, Jacob dumped eight Skill Points into the branch, maximizing Armor Mastery, Strength of the Legions, and Hold the Line and unlocking the Legion Branch of the Skill Tree.
The Legion Branch offered two Skills, the fist Perfect Soldier, was a must while the second Walking Fortress, was for those 'Oh Shit' moments that seemed to pop up more and more often. Jacob dumped twelve points into both Skills leaving him with six hundred and sixteen points. Jacob considered looking at the Shadow Magic Skill tree but sleep was calling him and he desperately needed rest, so Jacob closed out everything and pulled Cathrine a little closer before closing his eyes and quickly falling asleep.
