Two months have passed since Lu Yan arrived in this world. He settles in Spring Well Vilge as the vilge head, but for all this time, no one has seen him in that role.

  The Shadow Feet are trained in exceptional skills: concealing their aura, moving silently, listening over vast distances, and transmitting information telepathically without restriction. Lu Yan learns these skills alongside them, ensuring he remains one step ahead of any threat.

  For ten minutes, Lu Yan restrains Lu Qui, pressing her to remain silent. A thin sheet of protective aura shields them from the spreading fire. The battle rages above and below ground. Who fights whom remains unclear; the invaders move with lethal efficiency.

  The underground complex—the heart of his Shadow Feet operation—is under siege. Lives are lost, but Lu Yan remains calm, his focus unbroken. He ensures the children and secrets of the Shadow Feet remain hidden.

  For over an hour, the battle continues. Then, inexplicably, it stops. The fmes subside, and silence falls over the devastated vilge headquarters. More than four hours ter, as sunlight begins to filter through the morning mist, Yan three and Yan four arrive, their expressions a mix of fury and disbelief.

  Twenty bodies lie scattered before them: two from the Su family, two from the Yin family, two from the nearest vilge, ten security personnel, and four housemaids. Yan four is slightly injured, but Yan three is unscathed. Shock courses through them.

  "Why… why would anyone try to kill the vilge head? He is young, small, yet he works tirelessly to improve this pce. Who would harbor such hatred?" Yan three's voice trembles with rage. "If anything happens to our Young Master, I swear I will annihite their families fourteen generations down to the chickens!" Her words are filled with a deadly promise, echoing through the vilge.

  Yan four, controlling his temper, says firmly, "Calm yourself. First, secure the area. Then we sort out the chaos. The vilge head must have anticipated this. He is calcuting, prepared. If he survives, Spring Well Vilge will thrive like never before. Pray for him, for if he lives… the vilge shines for generations.” Yan three’s eyes narrow. "The families… they must not leave. I will handle them myself."

  "Search everywhere. Find the vilge head," Yan four commands, rallying the remaining guards and soldiers who survived the onsught.

  "Wait for me, Young Master…" Yan four adds, his voice low, resolute, a mix of fear and loyalty.

  Lu Yan, Deep within the ruins, hidden under the protective aura, Lu Yan breathes steadily. The attack confirms his suspicions: there are forces in Spring Well willing to kill for power, oblivious to the vilge's well-being. His Shadow Feet have provided him with the information he needs, but the threat is far from over.

  He knows more will come, and when they do, Spring Well will not be defenseless.

  Above ground, the survivors mourn for their losses and tend to the injured. Yan three’s fury is barely contained, while Yan four coordinates the remaining security forces. The vilge is in turmoil, yet they do not realize the true puppet master remains hidden, observing, pnning, and already strategizing his next move.

  In this chaos, the bond between Lu Yan and his disciples strengthens. Luo Hei and Luo Bai, though young, sense the gravity of the situation. They remain in the hidden complex, their training now put to a test far greater than any Lu Yan has given them. Their skills, honed over months, are the unseen shield that keeps the vilge head alive.
