10 Years after the Awakening Incident, humanity was finally united. However, it was too late as by then 60% of the world population, almost 6 billion people had been loss against the harbingers.

  Brighton City, Province of England, NADUR

  "Calling all crew members for a meeting regarding our first mission. All crew members please report to the hangar.", stated the female voice in the intercom of the docked Space Battleship.

  "Suzina! Come on we got to get there quickly, I heard we're going to Brittany, didn't you always want to go there?"

  "Wait a second, I'm just combing! And no! I said I always wanted to go to Barcelona! Fix your hearing or something.", replied Suzina

  "Just get here quickly! It starts in 5 minutes."

  "Yeah, yeah! I'm here let's go Justin. I am not waiting for you!", she shouted whilst running towards the hangar mockingly.

  "Oh you!", annoyingly Justin replied.

  "We have finally received orders from headquarters on our first mission on the ship. This unit is to head for Amsterdam and then to Antwerp in 2 days. The mission will last a week, but HQ says it can take as long as a month.", the unit commander.

  "Amsterdam? What for?" Suzina asked.

  "They say a harbinger attacked the area and destroyed it completely. An evacuation order was delivered they say but we still don't have refugees", Justin explained.

  "That's right, from Antwerp to Amsterdam, we have not received any refugees and now HQ wants us to investigate the scenario.", stated Jolina, the sister of Justin.

  "Jolina... how do you know these things?"

  "I gossip a lot to my other friends, these stories just come by every so often.", she replied to Justin.

  "But anyhow, we're headed for a possible hunting ground of a harbinger, they say it is a hunter version.", she added.

  "Hunter version?" Suzina asked.

  "Justin, being basically Suzina's girlfriend, may you testify as to what this girl actually knows of the world?"

  "Girlfriend? What in the world Sis? You must be crazy or something, but I indeed can testify. And I can day that this woman is too innocent to know anything about the world." Justin replied to Jolina.

  "Hey! I am not that clueless Justin! I know the best spots as a tourist, at least before the Incident but still!", Suzina frustratedly states.

  "Whatever girl, I am out of here." Jolina conversed before noticing a slight blush on Suzina, she knew exactly what this meant.

  "A hunter type huh, the weakest of the 3 types yet it cleared out all of the southern Netherlands. That couldn't be right.", Justin thought.

  1 Day before the operation.

  "All crew members, please proceed to the cafeteria for dinner. Personal remarks from the captain. Eat well for we have a big day ahead of us.", once again the voice on the intercom stated.

  "I wonder what dinner is today! Man am I hungry.", Suzina proclaimed.

  When it was finally her turn to be given dinner, she was shocked. It was the best dinner they've had in weeks! The food was sure to fill any stomach and satisfy any person.

  "Wow! What is this? This meal couldn't have been better timed!"

  "Soldiers about to enter a dangerous area are traditionally provided high quality foods just in case they don't return.", gloomingly did the person behind her reply.

  "Oh, is that so?", Suzina conversed with her mixed crushed excitement and disappointment.

  "Nice one for ruining the happy vibe Lex."

  "I'm just saying the truth, the unavoidable, inevitable and devastating truth." Lex replied to Jolina.

  "Look at Nana, she got so frightened because of you, you better say sorry before Justin shows up."

  "Nana? What kind of nickname for Suzina is that? Why can't we just eat?", Justin said out of nowhere.

  "Ok calm down boss." Jolina laughingly replied.

  After dinner, they were all preparing to get a good night sleep, after all, tomorrow was a big day for the unit. To ensure that they could cross the English Channel mostly without detection, they hoped to be able to take off at midnight, hence the early sleep and dinner.

  "Cap'n why are you out here alone? Have you even had dinner yet?", questioned the deputy chief, he's assigned to giving out combat orders.

  "Oh, we're not at the ship, you can call me by name."

  "Oh ok, then Eleanor, if you insist may I remind you to answer my question?"

  "Oh right, well, for me seeing the moon out like this before a big day always calmed me down, so here I am."

  "Then why are you alone?"

  "Because I like not being disturbed by a 5"11 man with black hair and a naturally annoying atitude.", Eleanor said as if describing the deputy chief.

  "Oh wow, I never knew you knew that, how do you know?"

  "I just do. Now get going I want my peace back."

  "Ok ok, backing off madam stingy.", the deputy chief replied while he backed off and turned around to go back to the ship.

  Then there was a flash, then a tremendous roar breaking the sky and the sound barrier appeared from the east cutting through the naval port awakening everyone from their good night slumber. The captain and the deputy chief watched this in disbelief and quickly decided to run back to the ship.

  However, appearing out of the horizon was a dreadful sight, a harbinger had somehow made its way across the english channel and hunted them down.

  Inevitably, the harbinger's sharp eyes detected the two runners and decided to catch them. First it braced, and then it started charging at the captain and chief.

  Every step that the two took felt like another 50 meters that the mechanism managed to pass in getting closer to the two. The ship seemed farther than a kilometer away from them, yet the enemy felt like a few steps away.

  However, at the last possible moment, a vehicle approached them hastily, it was a soldier in a military jeep who, with his companion, snatched the captain and chief from almost being caught by the claws of the harbinger.

  Managing to escape, the captain quickly got into position and gave out the following orders.

  "Status:R, lower the bridge and get everyone into combat stations. Prepare for harbinger combat.

  Then, she grabbed the intercom microphone near her and stated the following.

  "I am afraid I must cut everyone's slumber, but the battle has begun, the first battle of this ship is here. Let's prove her worth here and now, can we? Let's show the world that there is still hope, hope of a truly peaceful world!"

  Hearing this, all the crew members of the ship woke up, stood up, and ran to their combat stations, even though this was a surprise attack, they were all determined to prove to the enemy that they would be their worst nightmare.
