Orientation I

The six boys, as they waited for the other students, decided to take a nap to get a bit more rest before another long day. Until suddenly Marv heard the door open and decided to wake up the others. As the others looked at the door, they noticed a flood of people going inside, and then Kian looked at the clock on the wall and realized orientation was about to start. With a shocked look, the six fixed their composure and fixed their belongings.

As the flood of students continued, they saw all sorts of people enter the room. Some seemed to have multiple servants carrying their bags, while others had just a small bag for their belongings. The six noticed different things about each student entering Hope. Noted how some seemed to have different financial backgrounds. Marc noticed the kinds of technology other people possessed, noting that some may even exceed his inventions. Jash noticed the number of girls and how they all looked stunning. Kian noticed how some looked at the six with a bit of curiosity about who they were. Marv noticed how a lot of them were nervous to be there at the academy, but some were already confident. Isaiah noticed the different types of magic that the students had and any Versipilliana traits they had.

Then a new person entered, older than the other, evident with the scars on his face, the strands of white hair in his otherwise jet black hair. He was decently tall, but not close to Professor Dominic. He wore slacks, a button-up shirt, and a long coat similar to prof Dominics, but instead of grey, it was dark blue that looked like deep water. He walked to the center of the room before saying, "Everyone, please pay attention!" After saying that, only a few of the students decided to start to listen. The man, seeming to be annoyed, generated multiple balls of water, one for every student who wasn't who didn't listen, and he launched them at their heads.

Most of the students were hit by the water balls, but some were able to dodge them in time, and for those with servants, took the hit instead. For the six boys, they were lucky enough not be targeted because of Marc telling them about the man in the center. After the man did that, all the students started to listen. The man was finally satisfied with the people's attention being on he said, "Hello, new students of Thalryn Academy. I am Professor Jackson, some of your teachers in basic and advanced magic generation and manipulation, but today I will be leading you all for orientation."

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

The other students now understand who the person in the middle was. After a short pause, Professor Jackson continues to speak, "Know that in this orientation I will show you around the school's campus, how to properly get to each class, the basic Academy rules, and other school facilities. Now, for this orientation, I will require all of you to group into groups of six." The other students immediately started to ask each other to group into six; the boys, already knowing each other, grouped themselves.

Once the students finished grouping themselves, Professor Jackson continued with the instructions, "Good, now I need you to name your groups, and after that, come to me with your team and your names." The boys then started to argue about what their team name should be until they all finally agreed on the name: Team Hexad. They were the fifth to approach prof Jackson with their team name, and once they told him, he was a bit shocked at the name they chose.

Marv asked, " Um, sir, why are you surprised at the name of our team?"

Prof Jackson answered, "Well, I'm not surprised you don't know. But to answer your question, there was a team from the start of the Academy who chose the same name. The staff here has a superstition that whoever chooses that name will do something great, but that hasn't been the case for the last 1000 years. The Academies have been here; it's actually more of a curse since no one has yet to fill the shoes of the original. Sorry about that. Just go back to where you were before and wait for my instructions."

Somewhere in a hidden room, a hooded man smirks while looking at screens connected to hidden cameras in the building and says, "It seems we found our next sacrifice for him," before he picks up a communicator and calls someone.
