Chapter 63
Reuniting Families
Jackson:
Dad and Uncle Mircea stay in Monk's room to watch over him in case he wakes up. He will need someone familiar and power to control him if he wakes in a disoriented state. There are several things that can go wrong when he wakes up. 1. He can be so disoriented he attacks everyone around. 2. He can have Ripper tendencies and will need to be sedated. 3. He could wake up with amnesia. 4. Is the best we can hope for. He wakes up and is himself. Dad and Uncle Mircea have the ability to control him in the worst cases.
I'm in my office finishing up the calls to other packs, hives and convens and clans, that I haven't gotten around to calling yet to inform them that their family members have been found and are in our clinic, also telling them that I will be holding a meeting once all representatives or family are present to explain how and where they were found.
Some families and leaders have already started to arrive. Dianna, Mom and Ryan are handing the accommodations for them. We have fortitude protection spells and also placed lie detection spells. The witches and warlocks had come here placed spells that will alert us to any secret conventions involving the ex prisoners. They described it as a surveillance system without detectable equipment. They have taking it upon themselves to train Layla, Liza, Lyidia, Sam, Stan and Sven in more advanced spells while they are here. I'm deeply appreciative of them and the doctors and nurses that came as well. The doctors and nurses even brought more medical equipment and different herbal medicines with them as well. Lou is very thankful for the extra help and the new equipment. He would love to upgrade the clinic to be a hospital instead of having to run to the hospital in town for major issues. It would be better for the pack so as a surprise we will be adding rooms, equipment and trusted staff including mental health doctors for adults and children.
As I'm lost in thought, Haynes knocks on my door, breaking my concentration about how to go about talking to Wayne, Brenton and Sophie-Ann about going to college to study psychology. I tell Haynes to come on in. He enters with a female who introduces herself as Willow, Luna of White Oak Ware Bear Clan. I introduce myself and reach my hand out for her to shake in greeting. Instead I get pulled over my desk into a huge bear hug pun intended. She thanks me profusely for finding her mate, telling me he has been missing for 2 years. Hugged me more tightly crying tears that soaked the collar and shoulder of my shirt. Dianna comes in and just grins her deviously grin. She knows I hate other women touching me but finds it funny when it happens. If it was an unmated female D would rip her to pieces but this woman is mated and is happy her mate has been found alive and is getting medical attention. Willow finally releases me and I introduce her to my Luna D. Willow grabs D and starts hugging her the same way she did me. It's my turn to smile at her predicament now. D asked Willow if she would like to go to the clinic and see her mate. Willow jumped up and down with delight. I look at Hynes and tell him I hope everyone is that excited to see their loved ones. He asks me if I want to make a wage on who will and who won't be happy about them being found. I'm not a gambling man but it's only a gold coin per point. At least we are down to 45 people because. Mircea and the Alpha Ware Bear are out of the running for this bet. Haynes says he will make the list up. I chuckle at his enthusiasm.

Another knick on my door and Mom enters with a Man who claims to be Beta David of the Blue Moon pack. He says he's been looking for his mate Xarea and Alpha for 3 years. He looks like someone who has had the world on his shoulders for a long time and is close to becoming feral from being away from his mate for so long. I shake his hand and ask Hynes to escort him to the clinic. Mom looks at me and asks what is on my mind. I tell her I think that Beta will be more happy to see his mate than his Alpha. She says she got the same impression from him but she doesn't think his mate and the Alpha were having an affair. She thinks it may be the way the pack was being run by the Alpha. I agree with her assessment.
More and more people start to show up. I need to find some way to organize this mess. Another knock on my door. I know exactly who it is. My Baby Girl. I tell her to come in and ask her if anything was wrong as I sit her in my lap. She hugs me and says Daddy with all these new people we need to organize everyone. Is my baby girl a mind reader? She says she thinks it would be easier to divide them up in their species. That way the clinic won't be overwhelmed with visitors and it will be less chaotic. She asks me for a note book and the list of names of the patients in the clinic. I handed everything she asked for. She climbed out of my lap and asked me if she could stay here to work. I tell her of course she can and she goes and sits on the small sofa in the corner.
It's the same sofa her and Vlad would sleep on when they were babies. D would sometimes need to leave the house and she would leave the twins with me. I sat my work aside and fed, changed, played with them until they wore themselves out and I would lay them on that sofa to sleep.
