Dreams Beneath the Darkness

On the other side of the planet—

The dragon sat on the ground, his back against a nearby rock.

His head felt heavy, his thoughts slow.

  “I feel… tired,” he murmured.

  Kodom looked at him.

  He felt the same.

“So do I… it’s like sleep is forcing itself on us.”

Kodom tried to stay awake, but his body wouldn’t obey.

He sat beside the dragon, leaning against the tree whose branches had been cut earlier.

He looked up at the sky.

The colors were fading—not like nightfall… but as if the darkness was swallowing the light.

“It seems this planet…” he said quietly,

  “…doesn’t allow anyone to resist.”

  The dragon didn’t reply.

  His eyes had already closed.

  Moments later…

  Kodom’s eyes closed as well.

Both of them fell into deep sleep.

Darkness spread across the planet all at once.

  It wasn’t an ordinary night.

  The sky vanished.

  Colors vanished.

  Even sound disappeared.

As if the planet had closed its eyes—

And closed the eyes of everything upon it.

The dragon sank into sleep without realizing it.

  It wasn’t a peaceful dream.

He found himself in a white space.

  No ground.

  No sky.

  Only faint light.

  He heard a voice.

  Warm… close.

  “Don’t be afraid.”

He tried to turn, but his body wouldn’t move.

He saw a larger dragon holding his hand.

  Strong.

  Calm.

“You’ll be safe there,” the dragon said.

  He wanted to ask—

  Where?

  Why?

  But no sound came out.

  The scene shifted suddenly.

  He felt warmth.

  Tightness.

As if his body was shrinking.

  He looked around.

  He was inside an egg.

  The light outside was dim.

  The sounds distant.

  And just before everything faded,

He heard his name—clear for the first time:

  “Raf…”

  His body trembled.

  Then everything fell into darkness.

  Sora saw no light.

His dream was dark from the beginning.

  Burned land.

  A clouded sky.

  Distant screams.

He saw a large dragon fighting.

  Its body covered in wounds.

  Its wings torn.

  Pain filled Sora’s chest.

As if this scene belonged to him.

  He wanted to scream.

  To run toward it.

  But his legs wouldn’t move.

  The dragon fell.

  The ground shook.

  Sora felt emptiness.

  Loss.

  Something important…

  Something he couldn’t name.

  No names.

  No explanations.

  Only one feeling:

  Loss.

  And the vision vanished.

  Bani saw warm light.

  A small wooden room.

  The scent of old work.

A little girl sat on the floor, laughing.

The girl held Bani in her hands, lifting her close, speaking to her.

  Bani felt something strange.

  She wasn’t walking.

  She wasn’t moving.

  She was simply… there.

  In the girl’s hands.

  She heard the girl say:

  “You’re beautiful.”

  Warmth filled her.

  Safety.

  Then everything changed.

  The light faded.

  The sound disappeared.

  She heard the girl scream:

  “Dad! Don’t go!”

Bani felt herself being left behind.

  Hands pulling away.

  Then darkness.

  Kodom saw his hands.

  Working.

  Creating.

  Shaping.

  Tools.

  Metals.

  Rare pieces shining.

  He was crafting something carefully.

  Smiling.

  He heard a child’s laughter.

  He looked up.

  A small voice said:

  “Dad…”

  He reached out.

But the workshop began to vanish.

  Tools fell.

  Walls cracked.

He heard the voice again, farther away:

  “Dad…”

  He tried to reach it—

But the ground collapsed beneath him.

  He fell.

  And just before everything disappeared,

He heard the same voice everyone had heard before.

  But this time…

  It wasn’t commanding.

  It was sorrowful.

  “You’re too late.”

  The darkness remained.

  The planet silent.

  Four beings asleep.

  Four shattered pasts.

  Threads slowly forming…

  But the truth—

  Had not yet been revealed.
