  Just a short update from my side regarding Book 2.

  Work is progressing, of course, with 5 chapters written and polished. My goal is to hit 20 chapters of backlog before I restart posting, so I ease the pressure off myself a little. The new schedule will be of just 2 chapters / week as I plan on also bringing Tallah B4 to the finish line ASAP.

  I admit I'm... struggling a little with whether to continue this story or not. Not saying this for pity points either. I've taken a good, hard look at the numbers and the reception the story's getting, the criticism it's received (whether implicitly through comments, or through reader habits I can gleam from the site analytics) and the general vibe of RR. There's definitely an issue in how I've approached the story and I own up to that.

  Good news is that I'm not yet disheartened enough to drop Klaus. Far as I'm concerned, I still intend to take him up to at least his fifth insight level and give him a second chance over on Amazon. But there's definitely some expectation recalibration on my part. It's my first LitRPG and I accept the lumps I've gotten so far regarding the character work and pacing, and working through some of those issues for Book 2. But if I won't manage to somehow turn things in a more positive direction, I will probably either take an extended break from EoE, or just offramp it entirely at a point that makes sense. If that's a deal breaker for some of you following the story... well, I can only express my regret.

  As things stand, expect at least one more book out of EoE after Book 2. I plan on improving the pacing moving forward, and giving Klaus less time to waste, without sacrificing his character for it.

  This is it from my side. Work's progressing. I'm taking criticism to heart. Will finish Book 2 without fail. But anything more for the future... well, can't say. We will see.
