The robbed man signaled and some of the men behind him moved forward. They moved towards the gates with speed and as they tried to pass though. In a flash of light, the men were violently thrown back. The robbed man walked forward slowly and stood before the gate. “So, you are not without some tricks” the robbed man said softly “It does not matter really we will find a way to get in.” Damien smiled and raised his hand and the robbed man fell back when a crossbow bolt hit the ground at his feet. “Leave now” Damien told them “You are not welcome here and you will not be getting in”. The robbed man signaled his men, and they faded into the growing darkness. It became clear that they did not go far away, Damien and his people could see them ringing the villa. Trying to hide in alleyways and in places of deeper shadow. Damien spent time comforting Shadow and Wolf in their grief over the death of Fox and watched the worsening situation in the city. The fires had grown in the direction of the Lower City. Other fires had sprung up in other parts of the city. Bells were ringing in different quarters of the city as the Night wore on.

It was as the light was brightening in the dawn light that those in the Villa heard the horns blowing. The horns sounded like a clarion call through the streets and from the direction of the noble quarter marched a group of soldiers. Armored in gleaming steel the soldiers descended on those men surrounding the villa. Several of the men were quickly captured by the soldiers and many others including the robbed man escaped fleeing back towards the lower city. The Soldiers secured the area around the villa and an ornate white carriage pulled up to the gate. It was preceded by a young officer in ornate armor. Damien and a group of his servants when out and watched the soldiers and officer as he got off his horse and went to open the carriage door and Lily stepped out of carriage. “Well Damien it seems like you had a bit of trouble, it is a good thing I came.” Lily said with a smile “May we come in?”
