On the desolate planet, a small warship skimmed above the sea like a meteorite, heading for the peak of the ore mountain.

  But after a long wait, there was not the slightest movement.

  Mobiuslidou also panicked. He stood up abruptly, drew his combat knife, and stood in front of High Commander Belle, shielding her tightly.

  The beast bared its sharp fangs, glaring at them viciously.

  Mobiuslidou said in a deep voice:

  “Hide inside the mech! I’ll hold it off!”

  In all her life, no one except her father had ever protected her so recklessly.

  Her heart warmed instantly.

  “Go!” Mobiuslidou roared.

  Belle snapped back to her senses, hurriedly climbed onto the mech, and shouted:

  “Open the hatch!”

  But the mech did not respond at all.

  At that moment, the beast pounced violently. Mobiuslidou was knocked to the ground, grappling fiercely with it.

  He squeezed the beast’s neck with all his strength, daring not to let go —

  Belle watched in panic and anxiety, calling the mech desperately, but there was still no reply.

  She was almost in tears. With sudden courage, she drew her knife, rushed forward, and slashed hard at the beast’s rear!

  The beast shrieked in pain, turned furiously, and lunged at her with its jaws wide open.

  Mobiuslidou seized the split-second chance. He drove his knife deep into the beast’s throat and sliced it open!

  Hot blood sprayed all over his face. The beast’s struggles weakened until it finally went still.

  Mobiuslidou collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath.

  Belle stood frozen in terror. Only when she saw he was safe did she slowly regain her senses. Her hand loosened, and the knife clattered to the ground.

  She sighed in relief, looking at this man — a strange sense of security filled her heart.

  After resting for a while, Mobiuslidou stood up, wiped the blood off his face, and walked toward her:

  “High Commander Belle, are you alright?”

  Belle stared blankly at his face.

  She spoke solemnly:

  “Lieutenant Mobiuslidou.”

  Mobiuslidou froze, then stood perfectly straight and saluted solemnly:

  “Waiting for your order, High Commander Belle! Please instruct!”

  “Put your hand down.”

  He lowered it at once.

  “Lower your head.”

  Confused, Mobiuslidou lowered his head anyway.

  Belle grabbed his collar with both hands, lifted her head, and kissed him.

  Mobiuslidou stood frozen, eyes wide open.

  At that moment, Tian Dao Mech slowly stood up. In its mechanical eyes, the gorgeous sunset over the horizon was reflected…
