After about four to five hours, Marcus closed the book and nodded.
“I can feel that my level has increased.”
“The alchemy level especially increased; it is something subtle but there. I believe I would be faster at making potions, and my potions would be more effective.”
“Now, I am sensing that I have two things to do within my soul.”
“First would be increasing my Magicka or Health or Stamina.”
“The second would be the perk.”
“I am not sure how the perks work, but I already decided that I will be putting my first perk on Alteration. I am not sure, but this will increase the duration of Oakflesh and will cost less to cast it.”
Marcus touched his chin and nodded.
“I think it would also cause my Oakflesh to be powerful. The perks here in this reality of the Elder Scrolls are not direct but more effective and general.”
With these two thoughts, Marcus willed it, and then with one real decision that came from the depth of his soul, he felt that his magicka had increased as well as his understanding of magic when he willed it again to put “point” or “power” into Alteration.
“The feeling is great...” He looked at his hands and then nodded.
"Now that I leveled up and used those points, I do not feel those points or power anymore, which means I need to level up again to feel it.”
“With this, I have more of an idea of things now.”
Marcus then looked at Corpulus; he came to his side.
“Food?" he asked.
Marcus nodded.
“A stew, beef. Would be great," he said and then put five drakes on the table.
“Coming.” "Corpulus Vinius," said he as he took the drakes on the table.
From sixty septims he made from selling Fortify Health Potions, he was left with forty-nine septims.
He spent ten gold septims for the books and five drakes for the mead and a sweet roll, which he liked, and finally understood why people kept stealing it from other people, as the guards told.
“Forty-nine septims is still a great deal of money for me at this stage.”
“If things worked in a real game, it would mean nothing.” Marcus said to himself, and when the stew arrived, he put the book back in his bag and then dug in.
As he was eating, a leather-wearing Khajiit looked at Marcus with some interest in his eye; not long after, an Argonian arrived at his side and asked with a slithering, snake-like voice.
“Is that him?"
Khajiit nodded.
"Yeah, yeah, I saw him with some valuable books, and he spends them with not much thought.”
“He must have gold septims; he may want to share if we ask kindly.”
The Argonian giggled and shook.
“You know how to ask kindly.”
"Let's see what he does and how he goes about his day; if he leaves the city and puts some distance between his skin and the guards' swords, it would be best.”
Khajit nodded and then said nothing more.
After Marcus finished eating, he went to the talk with Corpulus and paid five drakes for another room and then left the inn to go to Angeline Aromatics.
After entering, Angeline looked at him and then said.
“It seems like you like being here.”
Marcus smiled.
“Compared to the crowd in the city, this shop is heaven."
Angeline smiled.
“Are you here to make some potions or buy something?"
Marcus nodded and then came to her side and then asked.
“I need these ingredients."
“Red Mountain Flower, Tundra Cotton, and Lavender.”
Angeline nodded.
“I have a lot of those simple ingredients; I can safely say what you want to create.”
“The price is five drachmas for all three of them.”
Marcus nodded.
“The price is acceptable. If you know what I am going to make, how much would you buy it from me?" he asked.
Angeline, though.
“The ingredients you are using will create Fortify Magicka Potions; it is not bread and butter like Fortify Health Potions and Ordinary Health Potions, but still, if you can combine those three to create Fortify Magicka, then it will also have the effect of “Resist Magicka," which is really effective against fighting magical creatures or mages...”
“The demand is not much; if you are capable of creating an okay product, then I will be giving you five septims for each.”
"But I can only buy ten of them right now and twenty or fifty of them every week.”
Marcus nodded.
“Okay.”
“I can accept that.” After buying the ingredients, Marcus started making the potions.
He understood that Fortify Magicka was not that in demand, like just healing potions. All soldiers and commoners would need health potions and find them useful, but Fortify Magicka was more of a mage item, or people who are fighting against mages would prefer that.
Handy but not that in demand.
