Skill of Ion — its principle is somewhat simple… Imagine a man jumping from a cliff about 30 meters high, for example, into a ke… The surface of the water, which had been calm, will turn into a solid wall that will destroy the man’s bones regardless of his posture. It does not matter; the only result is the shattering of the bones of the part of his body that hit the water surface first. But there is another way for the man to jump into the ke from a height greater than 30 meters, for example even 60 meters, without suffering any notable harm… The matter is simple: he only needs to bring a rock and throw it into the ke, and waves will be sent that destroy the tension of the water surface at the pce where the rock falls…
This is how Ion’s Deyed Impact technique works. He strikes a normal blow enhanced with a little aura against the aura shield or mana shield — it does not matter — as long as it creates ripples, even if slight, in the shield. Then he sends a burst of concentrated aura through his shoulder and then to his fist, penetrating the ripples that people overlook… In this way Ion can cause a direct strike that could cause a severe injury to someone at Cyril’s level if it did not kill him already…
But Ion deliberately used only enough power to push him back with the same force as the previous time.
But for Cyril the matter was very painful, as the shock touched his bones directly and his internal organs.
He felt the taste of blood in his throat, but he forced himself to swallow it forcefully so that he would not embarrass himself.
Now, no matter how arrogant he was, he would know that this younger student indeed had the power to defeat him if he did not exert himself… But by hell, how could he admit this after he had been humiliated twice, and worst of all he discovered that Ion from the first time had intentionally been acting the role of the innocent student in front of him and that he had fallen into his trap.
Cyril rose from his pce, his face wearing a cloak of indifference, but his eyes had already revealed his resentment.
Then he said, “It was a good trick, but trivial tricks always have limits before absolute power.” Then he dashed forward at great speed, directing a punch toward Ion, not intending to allow him to speak.
Ion clicked his tongue when he saw Cyril’s stance.
He wanted to ask for “his third chance,” but Cyril attacked and did not seem to intend to listen at all… Well, it does not matter, I will become a little serious and move this sluggish body.
Cyril’s fist was already wrapped in a very rge amount of aura heading toward his face. Ion did not panic; he quickly extended his hand with the least amount of force and struck Cyril’s elbow with his palm, which caused Cyril’s fist to go upward above Ion’s head while Ion himself did not move even an inch of his body except his arm.
As a silent mockery of Cyril.
Cyril’s face frowned slightly, then he delivered a side kick toward the side of Ion’s rib cage, but Ion merely extended his right leg and struck with slightly greater force at Cyril’s leg that was still on the ground, which caused him to lose his bance.
Cyril quickly used his hands to perform a backward jump to avoid the embarrassment of falling in a humiliating manner.
He said while shaking his head right and left:
“O elder, you leave many openings. If I were a killer, killing you now would already be easier than drinking water… While your bance itself is very weak; you focused too much on the kick and neglected the rest of your body. Even if I had only dodged and done nothing, your back would have become exposed for a fraction of a second, and that would be enough for me to deliver a finishing blow… I do not know whether you are going easy intentionally or not, but please do not stop this, elder, because I am taking this duel with extreme seriousness.”
Cyril and the spectators almost vomited blood when they heard Ion’s mockery; even a blind person could see that Cyril was already serious.
Cyril remained silent while suppressing his frustration, then attacked once again, leaving behind a small crater where his foot had been pced, directing a side punch toward Ion’s jaw. Like the previous time, Ion did not panic. He stepped half a step forward, entering Cyril’s range, then gently pced his palm on the elbow of Cyril’s extended arm and spread his aura; the palm turned into a grip that seized Cyril’s elbow.
Cyril’s eyes contracted when the momentum of his punch suddenly stopped, but before he could react, Ion’s other free hand grabbed Cyril’s extended arm above the elbow. Then Ion bent his knees slightly, turned, and made his back face Cyril.
When Cyril understood what Ion was trying to do—
He was already in the air, flipped head over heels, and the ground was rapidly approaching him. Instinctively he spread his aura over his back to protect himself from the impact. He had barely spread his aura when Ion smmed him forcefully onto the ground, causing it to crack beneath him due to the force. Cyril’s eyes contracted greatly, then he coughed blood from his mouth, and pain spread through his back as if he were being crushed by a gigantic rock. He released a muffled groan from the intensity of the pain and forced himself to rise when he heard Ion’s words in his sincere tone — it was worse; he would rather be crushed under a rock than hear those words.
“O elder, why are you so stiff? You should have already thought of a countermeasure when you threw your punch in case I blocked it… So why were you shocked when I nullified your fist?” he said it in a tone like a father disappointed in his son.
Cyril coughed blood, but this time from anger. Cyril roared strongly, “Shut up,” then attacked once again.
