A fiery tomato morning
It’s a good thing my friend and I found so much reading material yesterday, the blood storm is back and the rain is extra thick today.
I bet one step outside will melt your skin off.
Anyway, while chilling out on the couch by the window, I started flipping through the book on generators. I immediately realized two things.
One: there’s a lot of steps. And two: I hate reading things that look complicated, or reading books in general.
There was a section on grounding and “carbon monoxide safety” and “do not run indoors”. Well, duh. What kind of psychopath runs a generator inside the house?
However, I’m not sure where I’d put it. This house has a small little tool shed in the backyard, but that’s the thing, it’s small. And the noise would just attract mumblies over. I’m not looking to start house parties.
Still, I think I can figure something out. I’m good at figuring things out when I have to. I’ve been surviving this long, after all. I’ve been stabbed multiple times, grazed by bullets, and dealt with home invasion.
I can handle this.
The cricket opera is here
I used some packing tape to hang up the map we found on the wall.
I think it’s a nice little decoration to these lifeless walls. I even decorated the corners and some of the empty space with stickers.
My friend went upstairs to sleep. She didn’t ask first, but that’s fine. She must be tired after dinner, we ate a lot of meat.
Normally I’d be sleeping by now as well, but that’s not really a problem for me anymore. I get maybe an hour or two of rest a day and feel perfectly fine. I’m just built different!
I watched the mumblies outside, standing there and lingering in the rain. They remind me of those marionette puppets, but without all the strings.
Not a care in the world as the rain slowly melts away their flesh with severe chemical burns.
I wonder if they truly feel no pain? To be so unbothered by the blood storms.
But, I guess not. Since a handful of them look straight up into the sky, some even with their mouths open. Maybe they think the rain is actual blood.
And once the storm ends, my friend and I will probably check out that hardware store. I’ll bring some stuff to try and get in through the back door. Or windows, if needed.
She also knows where the local dentist’s office is and the general hospital. It’ll be a bit of a trek, but will be worth it for the supplies, or whatever is left.
“You… deserve…”
A couple mumblies wandered into my front wn. I wonder what happened to these guys. They sound a bit more emotional today.
“Please…”
“...don't”
Ah, I can understand. One of them has their head mostly hacked off, barely hanging on. If I was him, I’d be upset too. Poor guy.
Well, time for me to memorize the map some more. I’ll need this for our little journey tomorrow. It doesn't hurt to be prepared.
I’m also going to be bringing my little pistol with me since we might encounter someone.
And I’m not pnning on getting jumped and injured again. A few times was enough.
