Today was amazing!
And no, I’m not joking or being sarcastic. I know today is April Fool’s day ‘n all, but I’m serious.
Last night was terrible, though. I kept having moments where I would close my eyes, only to open them and realize that two or three hours passed by.
It made me wonder if I ever really slept at all? But if I didn’t sleep, did I really just y there in bed, brain turned off for that long and not realize it? Shower thoughts.
Anyway, so, why is today amazing? Well, the streets were retively empty, first of all. Long stretch of roads as far as the eye can see. If you ignore the mumblies.
No gunshots or weirdos trying to shoot me down. It was truly peaceful.
I would have taken a deep breath and enjoyed myself more if the air didn’t mostly smell of the inside of a septic tank. All the bodies don’t just magically disappear, y’know.
I was able to make it all the way downtown for once. It took a hot minute, but totally worth it. This girl made it to the promised nds!... Walmart.
The building was absolutely fucked. There were more bodies on the ground than I could even try to count. Tomato juice everywhere, on the ground, the walls, the broken windows.
If I was a medical student or a mortuary assistant, I’d be learning so much about all the different organs inside the human body from how much I found all over the ground.
Think during the beginning, the mumblies must have had gang-bangs or something. It was just parts littered across the parking lot and entryway inside. Come for the deals, stay for the food I guess.
Inside was what you’d expected. Trashed, looted beyond hell, all that jazz. I didn’t really find all too much that wasn’t broken, utterly destroyed or rotting.
Even the toy aisle was ransacked, surprisingly. Like, what? Are people gonna py with robots and dinosaurs while trying not to be eaten?
But yeah, I found some things here and there. More clothes, extras shoes, a really nice star-light mp. Best of all was in this one aisle with costumes.
I picked up a white masquerade cat mask. It’s sooo fucking cute. I had to wear it, I LOVE IT!
Grabbed all the markers and crayons I could find.
This is the forever halloween world now! I might as well enjoy it.
6:30pm-ish
It started raining again. The yucky rain, but more… red looking.
Thankfully it only began right as I got back home!
My friend was still sitting by the fire, he doesn’t seem like he did much while I was gone. Which is fine! At least he didn’t try to hoard all my food and run off or something!
I showed him my new mask. He didn’t say anything, but he also didn’t say it was shit, so fine by me.
I actually looked in the bathroom mirror for once with my new mask on. I love it. This is me now.
While cooking some more meat over the fire, I used some of the markers I found and decorated it with flowers, hearts, stars, you name it. And of course, mainly using red and pink.
I am the valentine cat! A cat that loves meat and loyal company.
10:20pm
So, I was showing my friend my whole inventory of things I collected so far and I came across my box of stickers. I forgot I had these! I should use them.
These bnk white pages are so boring, time to spice things up a bit!
Just because life as we know it probably gone, doesn’t mean aesthetic needs to be gone too.
11pm-ish
The wind started picking up outside along with the rain. I thought someone was throwing little pebbles at the windows. I got nervous for a second.
But no, just some hard, sideways rain.
I looked out the one living room windows I didn’t block off, and the rain had this weird, darker hue to it.
It might be my eyes pying tricks on me, or the fact that it’s te at night, but I swear, it looks wrong. I don’t really know how to describe it in words.
And it’s hard to see in the dark, but I can spot the faint silhouettes of some mumblies doing their thing. They just stand there, watching the rain fall onto their faces.
I’ll check it out in the morning.
