Chapter 18: The Rescue

  Chapter 18

  The Rescue

“What the holy hell did they do to her? No. Never mind. I don't want to find out. Let's at least remove these damn chains!”

System Notice: [Analysis Complete] New Blueprint: Cursed Chains of Oblivion acquired. New Resources acquired: Uranium 237, Palladium, Iridium, Molybdenum, Platinum, Plutonium.

“Iridium? How the hell did they manage to handle that without killing themselves with radiation poisoning?!”

System Notice: Most likely through the use of “anti-curse” barriers and tools.

With the chains having been consumed by Jade's [Analyze] ability, Iluna's natural regeneration kicks in and begins taking care of her injuries, starting by clearing her concussion and bringing her back to a state just barely recognizable as consciousness. The moment her eyes open, she stares off into the distance, as if she's reading a System prompt.

“Hahaha! Oh. So they've finally grown bored of me and are feeding me to a dungeon now? Come! Feed on me and let my suffering end!”-Iluna

“Be not afraid, Iluna, for I mean you no harm. You are in grave danger of death even if I do nothing, so please refrain from unnecessary movements.”

“Oh? A dungeon and a gentleman? That's a first. So what brings you here to me, little dungeon core?”-Iluna

“I was merely passing through in the search for one of my companions who was apparently taken by the thugs of Sydonia, but I could not simply leave you to suffer a cruel death like you were.”

“What do those two things have to do with each other? As you can see, I'm here alone.”-Iluna

“Well. Your cell and where my companion should be share a wall, and the room's door was warded with a barrier too strong for me to break by ordinary means.”

“So you came into my cell to break through the wall then?”-Iluna

“That's correct. But even though I removed your chains and your natural regeneration seems to be working again, it doesn't seem to be enough, and I can sense you're still going to die soon.”

“So you know that much. Those bastards. If only I could give their damned souls their divine punishment they deserve before I shed this mortal coil.”-Iluna.

“If you don't mind. I'll be more than happy to take care of their punishment for you. After all, my companion's also a woman, and I'd rather not have her have to deal with them.”

“Hehe. Sure, why not? How about a little quest to make sure you succeed?”-Iluna

System Notice: Iluna Siverst has given you a quest. Eliminate all the scum who enslaved and violated her. Rewards revealed upon completion. Accept Y/N?

  “I accept, with pleasure.”

  Quest Progress: 2/10.

“Well. Imagine that! You got two of them already? Let me guess, Priest Frandoh and Duke Deokk?”

“The same. Could I trouble you as to the rest of their identities?”

“Sorry. I don't know their names. Their faces all kind of blurred together too...”-Iluna.

“Oh. That's fine. I'll still do it for you.”

“What a rare gentelman you are. If only my self-proclaimed 'boyfriend' was as kind as you.”-Iluna.

“Oh. That sounds like a story I'd love to hear, but I don't think either of us has that kind of time.”

“Yeah. My HP just hit 01. I guess this is 'goodbye' then, right?”-Iliuna.

“Maybe. Maybe not. Perhaps we'll meet again in the next life, or something.”

“Oh? An optimist too? The ladies must have loved you in your native world, Traveler.”-Iluna

“I wouldn't know. Not all of my past-life memories carried on with me. I don't even know how I got here in the first place.”

“Heh. Isn't that usually the case? Well. I'm glad I got a nice death at least. Will you be taking my corpse? I'd be happy if you could leave no evidence of my ever being here.”-Iluna.

“It would be my pleasure, dear Lady.”

  “Flatterer.”-Iluna.

System Notice: Iluna Silverst has died. Do you wish to continue the quest? Y/N?

  “Yes, I do.”

NEW QUEST OBJECTIVE: Take and destroy Iluna Silverst's corpse. Rewards: Additional Boss Monster Slot.

“Oh? That will be very useful.”

Quest Objective completed. New boss monster available: Ilana Silverst.

PALADIN: GREAT INQUISITOR OF THE HOLY KINGDOM.

  Summon now: Y/N?

“Let's rescue Allura and ask her permission first.”

  System Notice: Acknowledged. Reward delayed.

“Now. Let's see what's on the other side of this wall.”

And Jade begins burrowing through the wall into the room with the magical seal on the door.

On the other side, we see Allura getting her clothes destroyed and being beaten down by the rest of Deokk's squad that he brought into the embassy for “negotiations” with Jade and Allura.

“Just give it up, Wench!”-Guard 1

“That's right! Your favorite little marble's probably been smashed to pieces by Lord Deokk by now!”-Guard 2

“Yeah! Even that ball said you ain't good fer nuthin'!”-Guard 3

“And who said what now?” says Jade as he bursts through the wall “Oh? What's this? Isn't this awfully convenient, not that I'm complaining. Do you three louts know a girl named Iluna?”

Vulgar laughter erupts from the despicable soldiers. “Oh yeah! We knew that bitch! Terrible lay. Couldn't even move her hips properly! Serves her right for speaking out against Lord Frandoh!” says Guard 1.

“Don't tell me she finally bit the dust?! How pathetic!”- Guard 2.

“Seriously? You're asking about her? We didn't do anything any other soldier would do to a sanctimonious 'filthy traitor' like her! It was all good, clean, harmless fun!”- Guard 3.

“Harmless you say? Did any of you have a part in the strange diseases she carried?”

Suddenly the evil guards found themselves tied to the ground with the same “cursed” chains poor Iluna had to endure. “Don't worry. We're about to have some 'harmless' fun now, aren't we?”

They tried to reach for their weapons only to find them gone, as they slowly but surely began being dragged down to the floor. Then they find themselves with glass tubes the thickness of a human hair inside every pore in their bodies, piercing the capillaries just under the skin.

“Now, see. I could simply sit back and wait until you bleed out ever so slowly, especially now that you're in the very same chains Iluna had to bear, but that would be boring, and I don't think we have that kind of time, so I'm going to spice things up a bit!”

“Let us go, you bastard!”- Guard 1

“I swear, when I get out of this..”- Guard 2

“You won't be getting away with this, asshole!”- Guard 3

A liquid splashes over the three men and they begin writhing in agony.

“See. We call this 'chlorine bleach” in my old world. If your skin was intact, it would be a minor nuisance, as long as you quickly wash it off with water, at least. But now that you've got hundreds if not thousands of tiny little wounds letting that stuff into the blood directly under your skin? And I'm just getting started here!”

  “H-h-ho-how can y-you call this h-harmless?”

“You can still speak? Impressive. I'm calling this 'harmless' like you calling what you, and at least 7 others, have done to that poor woman Iluna 'harmless'. Supposedly, if the one doing it isn't harmed, it's 'harmless' by your definition, right? Besides, at least one of you was harmed by your actions. SOMEBODY had to pick up a nasty disease or two from fooling around with her, as a result of somebody else infecting her against her will. SO it wasn't really harmless at all, was it?”

  “Y-yo-you m-m-monstrous b-b-bastard!”

“Monstrous am I? What does that make you? Fortunately, I don't have time nor patience enough to make you go through everything you did. So I'm going to be just a tad more merciful than you and end this quickly, and very, very painfully.”

Jade moves to the very optimal center between the three of them and by generating suction using his [Analyze] ability, brutally drains the blood from their bodies through the glass tubes in their pores, to a truly horrific and agonizing death.
