Somewhere in Prime city, a high tech city where those who have the money, hold the power, a woman runs. She runs through the city, looking for safety from the PrimeCorp. PrimeCorp Security is a corrupt police force, they are vile, but they always do what they’re paid for, no matter how bad it may be. This woman is a criminal, at least in PrimeCorp’s eyes she is, her only crime is stealing a single gear to use in the creation of a hover-tech board, a racing device, though not all are hoverboards. She manages to hide away from them in an abandoned building, the PrimeCorp looking around, eventually giving up and leaving. The woman sighs as she turns around to walk away, but then slams into something made of metal, knocking her hood off her head. She looks over at the metal object. "What is this thing...? She asks, admiring its cloth covered form. She removes the cloth on it. It’s a robot. The robot has a strange helmet on, with giant curved spikes on top of it. His arms are like cones, getting wider the further out they go, same with his legs, but he has no fingers or feet. The woman’s eyes widen, it’s amazing. The robot’s chest has the code ‘DL-1’ carved on it, and he has a strange object on his back. The woman begins trying to power it up, realizing how much it may be worth, but as she does, the PrimeCorp catches up, entering the abandoned building. The woman mutters under her breath as she hides behind the robot, wiring and trying to fix this robot as fast as possible. “FREEZE!” A man shouts and the woman stands up, putting her hands up, it’s an officer. “What’s with the machine?” Another officer asks, their hove cars shining bright headlights on her. Suddenly a broken wire above them flops down, dislodged by the noise, the electrical sparks attaching to the robot, sending powerful surges of lightning through it. The machine’s helmet’s eyes glow bright as it leans back, its arms outstretched as its voice glitches and powers back up, yelling out in pain. The lights of the abandoned facility begin flashing and eventually, when the surges stop, the lights pop and shatter, casting the already dark room into total darkness. “WHERE’D SHE GO!?” An officer asks, their cars having short circuited. Then the robot’s helmet’s eyes glow red as more lights appear around it. The officers stare at him, their hands shaking as a whirring and warbling noise echoes through. “D-D-D-DL-1, powered on, running Dimzel.EXE.” A robotic voice echoes as glowing lights of its fingers appear and shine, as mechanical fingers extend out, emerging from its arms. Then the core in its chest glows with a pulsing energy, a soft pulse echoes through the facility. “Power up sequence finished…” The robotic, female voice says. “Primary Directive:...” That female voice says again. “P-P-Protect the innocent one.” The robotic voice says, glitching into a male voice. The robot grabs the woman’s arm and runs past the officers before they could respond, grabbing something off his back. “WHAT IN THE-!?” The woman shouts as the robot jumps out of a hole in the side of the abandoned facility, staring down at the laser roads. The robot then pulls the thing on his back under his feet, it’s a Hover-board. The robot rides off, using the hover roads to flee, riding in the opposite direction of traffic. The woman holds on tight to the robot as his cone-like legs stay firmly on the board, but the PrimeCorp officers chase after him, their cars hovering over the road to avoid traffic. The robot looks behind him to see the officers using laser pistols. “THEY’RE AIMING AT US!” The woman shouts. “I’m aware…” The robot says. The robot swerves and avoids the laser pistols’ shots. But then, the robot gets distracted by a hollow-board advertising the grand race. “Woah…” The robot says, but as he gets distracted, his board gets shot, causing both him, and the woman to fall off. The robot then starts to shift, his limbs, head, and torso splitting apart, shifting and reforming together to grab the board, putting it back on his back, and spinning to his feet as his legs shift and change, the bottoms opening up and forming out a pair of mechanical boots that have thrusters. He then lands on his feet and continues going, using hover boots, holding the woman’s arm as he rides as fast as possible. “YOU HAVE HOVER-TECH BOOTS TOO!?” The woman shouts, completely shocked. “YEAH BUT THEY’RE A BIT-” The robot says, before being cut off by the boots suddenly hitching and the thrusters stopping, launching them both forward. “...Rusty…” The robot says as they begin falling. They slam against the road and the robot quickly grabs the woman and pulls her to the side. They stay quiet as the PrimeCorp officers ride right past them, as they sigh with relief. “YOUR BODY CAN SPLIT APART!?” The woman shouts, her white hair now frizzled and messed up. “Yeah, my fingers stay disconnected, just floating in place, but each main part of my body can do that too, each limb, my torso, and my head… my feet remain connected though…” The robot says, his voice still distorted by his helmet. His feet retract back into his legs, making them return to the cone shape as he stumbles around, trying to remove his helmet. Eventually his helmet pops off as his face is revealed. He has a metal face, but actual hair, and his hair matches the spikes on his helmet. His face is digital and on a monitor, like a digital face One eye is green and yellow, and the other is blue and purple, he has no mouth but you can tell his expression based off his eyes. He’s also rusted and dented. “You’re… damaged…” The woman says. “I’ll be fine, I just need my boots fixed, where’s the nearest robot repair clinic?” The robot asks, looking around. “NO NO NO! YOU CAN’T GO THERE! When they see a robot without a master they’ll have you shut DOWN and SCRAPPED!” The woman says, nervously. “I DO have a master, I just… don’t know where he went…” The robot says, looking around. “Okay, I’ve decided…” The robot says. “YOU will be my master until I can find Old Man DL.” The robot says. “WHAT!? I DON’T EVEN KNOW YOUR DESIGNATION!” The woman shouts. “OH! I’m DL-1, but you can call me Dimzel.” The robot says, bowing. “What’s YOUR name, master?” Dimzel asks, smiling. “I’m… I’m Glace…” The woman says, rubbing her arm. “Perfect, let's get going, I need a good polishing.” Dimzel says, walking away. “I can’t exactly AFFORD polishing, or ANY upgrade…” Glace says, walking with him. “Don’t worry, Master, that’s why I’M here.” Dimzel says, opening a hatch in his leg, pulling out a card. “A Chip Card?” Glace asks, confused. “Yup, I mean, I haven’t used this thing in years, so I guess it’s still full of chips, chips… ARE still currency, right?” Dimzel asks. “I mean… yeah, I guess…” Glace says. “PERFECT!” Dimzel shouts, grabbing Glace’s arm and jumping on his Hover-tech board. They ride through the city, eventually reaching a Robot Repair clinic, and stepping inside. They are quickly brought in since Dimzel is the most advanced robot the doctor had ever seen. “Well well well, this thing is certainly… interesting…” The doctor says, staring at him. “Does your… machine… usually wear clothes?” The doctor says. “Uhhh, yes, I feel like it gives him more personality.” Glace says, nervously. “Interesting… well his power source is strange, did you make it?” The doctor asks, inspecting its core in Dimzel’s chest. “WOAH!” The dcotor says, noticing the mark on his chest, the DL-1. “D…L…? That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time…” The doctor says. “Y-Yes, he’s my… uhh-” Glace stutters nervously. “Drop the act, Glace, you don’t have to pretend with me, you’re lucky you brought him to me, any other repair clinic would have had this thing brought to the PrimeCorps the moment they saw that tag.” The doctor says, and Dimzel snaps out of the trance-like act. “Listen, you two, I can give you the treatments he needs, I’ll even do it for free, but you need to only EVER bring him to me, no other clinic, they will, and I cannot stress this enough, WILL turn this robot in, no matter who its owner is.” The doctor says. “Just… trust me, okay?” The doctor says, calmly. Glace looks at his tag and nods. “Okay, Dr…. Mashworn.” Glace says, reading the tag. “Why would they take me?” Dimzel asks, confused. “Because you are the last creation of DL, you were made to fill his place, he knew he’d die eventually, so he made YOU, though I am unaware of his fate now.” Dr. Mashworn says, grabbing the tools needed. “Why do you know this?” Glace asks, suspiciously. “Because I read books, Dimzel wasn’t exactly a secret, it is his greatest creation.” Dr. Mashworn chuckles, starting to polish Dimzel. “Keep him out of sight if at all possible, understand?” The doctor says and Glace nods. Soon they both leave and Dimzel exits with a hood and cloak, it’s brown, tattered, burnt, and torn, but it does the job alright. “Now what?” Glace asks, looking around the glowing city. Suddenly a window shatters above as three figures burst out of a building, riding hover-tech boards. Dimzel’s eyes glow as he narrows in on them, seeing that they’re carrying stolen treasures. “Catch those crooks.” Dimzel says, grabbing his board and jumping onto it. Dimzel kicks off and rides away, leaving Glace behind as he chases after the robbers. “WAIT!” Glace shouts, reaching out. “I see he’s gone on ahead, hasn’t he?” Dr. Mashworn asks, stepping outside. “He didn’t even grab me…” Glace grumbles. “Welp, you better catch up.” Dr. Mashworn says, handing Glace a hover-tech board. “Take it, my days of racing are over.” Dr. Mashworn says, chuckling and walking away. Meanwhile, up ahead, the three hooded robbers are riding away from the police on their hover-tech boards. “HA HA HA! THEY’LL NEVER CATCH US NOW!” One laughs, triumphantly. Suddenly a shadow flies over them as someone lands in front of them, on their own Hover-Tech board. They press a foot pedal on their board that makes it ride on its own, and they turn around to face them, lowering his hood. “If you know what’s good for you, you’ll return those stolen goods yourselves…” The robot says, wearing a metal helmet, it’s Dimzel. “LOOK, BOSS! HE THINKS HE CAN STOP US!” One laughs, his voice deeper than the other one on the left. The one in the middle chuckles, removing her cloak. “C’MON then, show us your might, mystery rider.” The poofy haired woman says, smirking. Dimzel grabs something else off his back, a metal handle, pressing a button on it that causes a laser blade to emerge from its hilt, the blade blue and sparking. The woman with long poofy hair and black eyeliner smirks, grabbing her arm as a crossbow mounted to it becomes visible. She fires rapid bolts at Dimzel, but he cuts them apart, stopping her. “Get em’, boys.” The woman says, frowning as the two on her left and right surround Dimzel, the big guy donning an arm cannon, and the scrawny one making laser blades emerge from his wrists. Dimzel looks at them and chuckles. His chuckles soon turn to laughter. “FINALLY! I HAVEN’T HAD ANY ACTION FOR YEARS!” Dimzel laughs, swinging his sword and holding it to the side. Then the three attack him, firing laser blasts at him, jumping at him, and firing laser cannon shots at him, but Dimzel dodges and destroys every attack. Then, Dimzel takes down the big guy, making his board short circuit and causing him to fall off the road and into the darkness below, near the floor of the city. Then the scrawny one jumps at him again, but Dimzel slashes him, stunning him, making him fall against the road and they ride past him. “Just ME… and YOU, kid.” Dimzel says, laughing to himself. The woman scowls and dashes ahead, slamming her board against his, side by side, trying to push Dimzel off the road. “YOU’RE FINISHED, YOU FILTHY ROBOT!” The woman shouts, overpowering him, but just before he falls, Glace arrives, and helps Dimzel push. They push her closer to the edge, but the woman begins shouting. “NO NO NO! I WILL NOT LOSE!” The woman shouts, trying to push against Glace and Dimzel’s boards. “DELILAH WILL NOT LOSE!” The woman shouts and Dimzel’s guard drops. “D…Delilah?” he asks. “DIMZEL, WATCH OUT!” Glace shouts, pulling away as they approach a car, both the woman, Delilah, and Dimzel slamming into it. When Dimzel gets up, he notices Delilah near the edge of the road, and he runs over, watching as that part of the laser road starts to glitch. Then the part shatters and Delilah falls, but Dimzel grabs her arm, his helmet broken slightly. “NO!” Dimzel shouts, holding her wrist and trying to pull her back up. “I PROMISED HIM I WOULDN’T LET HARM COME TO YOU! I PROMISED!” Dimzel shouts, sounding desperate. Delilah looks up at him and scowls. “I don’t need your protection, robot…” Delilah says, coldly, grabbing a laser knife and cutting Dimzel’s hand, causing him to drop her. He stares down as her board dashes by and picks her up, causing her to dash off. “Delilah…” Dimzel says, as rain begins to pour, clenching his fist. “Dimzel… are you okay?” Glace asks, walking over. Dimzel stands up and his fists shake. “Dimzel?” Glace asks, nervously. Dimzel’s eyes widen as he yells out in rage, swinging his fist into the car they slammed into, panting heavily after doing so. “I… will not… fail my creator… again…” Dimzel says, coldly. He stands up straight, rolling his shoulder, stretching his arm out to the side and opening his hand. His palm glows blue as his board flies into his hand, putting it on his back. Dimzel begins walking down the road and Glace follows with her board.
