Dinner Disclosure

Soon they arrived at the inside of the restaurant through the door; Kurt arrived inside with Ava, a far cry from her usual appearance.

A few people notice the uncanny beauty of the figure next to a bald-headed guy with eyeglasses.

Soon Kurt touched the temple of his eyeglasses, then furrowed his eyebrows towards those who were staring.

Signaling those who are staring to look away, Kurt, with an unexpected but serious tone, said, “Come.”

Ava stared at the guy; one of her eyes twitched, and one of her eyebrows twitched and raised upwards.

“The behavior does not align with common established patterns.”

Kurt smirks, his eyes looking left, where he says, “Then you still have things to learn.”

“Come, I will get someone to get us a table.”

Kurt then heads to a waiter, “One table for me and my guest here,” where the guy nods and replies, “Yes, sir. Please do follow me.” The waiter appears to be a girl with ponytail hair, a white apron, and a black vest with pants.

The waiter escorted Kurt and Ava to a table, where Ava pulled out a wooden and regal-like material. The table was circular and covered with a white blanket; gravity pulled the edges of the blanket that extruded out from the circular table.

At the top of the table, its material reveals its specularity.

Ava flipped the pages in the menu she’s holding. The menu presents her the following: fish with olive oil and other dishes.

Ava just looked at other options in the menu, while Kurt raised his hand upwards, no emotion in his face.

About to queue their orders. The waiter soon attended the table, holding a notepad with her hands.

Ava stared at the menu, flipping its pages while both Kurt and the waiter conversed before the waiter nodded and said, “Very well, sir, the dishes will be gracefully delivered to you, coupled with desserts,” before fading away from their vicinity.

Ava slightly pulled down the menu; her beautiful eyes glanced at Kurt’s head. She placed her elbows on the table and asked, “So…. Tell me about yourself, darling.”

“Please provide this guest of yours a tidbit.” Her elbow was on the table, and her hand held her head upwards. As his head still glanced away from him.

She smiled. The eyelashes are highlighting her eyebrows.

Soon Kurt looked in Ava’s direction; he then shook his head with disapproval.

Kurt placed his fingers on his forehead, his eyes closed, and stared down at his table.

“Why… Why does it have to be like this?”

Ava was confused as she leaned her head forward. “Wait, what’s going on? Tell me, what am I missing out on?”

Kurt then raises his head without even smiling and asks, “Is there a reason why you dress or look like that? ”

Ava became even more confused and asked, “This? ”

“This dress? What do you mean? Is there something wrong with it? ”

Kurt gasped for air as he placed his hands on his forehead.

“I said, ‘formal. Is this really formal to you? You look a bit too obtrusive, you know? ”

Ava shook her head in disapproval. “Huh, this is beautiful.” She pinched her own dress’s sleeves.

“What exactly do you mean? ”

Kurt smiled; his hand on his forehead began to descend down to the table.

  “This was a test….”

  “Now to important matters”

Ava’s eyes widened, her hands on the rim of the table slowly shaking. “Wait… This isn’t because I am pretty, right? ”

Kurt then lowered his head down. “You are perceptive at least; that’s good.”

“You see, Ava, I am here to prepare you for a place before you settle towards the organization. I need to at least give you a place where you could stay first.”

Ava leaned closer and asked, “What do you know about the organization? ”

  “I want to know.”

Kurt smirked and answered, “I know about the organization. I also know you sniffed the traffic of the network of Genesis Innovation while working at a research facility.”

He adjusted the collar of his hands before sighing.

Ava widens her eyes; her somewhat bewildered but angry facial gesture contrasts with her almost glamorous appearance, and her makeup now contrasts with Ava’s face that reflects her state of mind.

Where she bent her spine and asked with fright, “Tell me.” Her eyes were desperate as her mouth twitched and her teeth ground against each other.

“What do you want from me?”

Kurt kept himself calm despite Ava’s current state, breathing in and out before closing her eyes only to pull out his phone.

“Here is what I can show you… If you will listen—so stop making a scene.” Kurt lifts his phone up in the air and rotates it facing her before placing it on the table.

The phone showcases a satellite map of the location of her stay, a different neighbor, completely harmless, and no indication of scientific breakthroughs.

“The neighborhood had been installed with multiple secret entrances underground leading to some of the underground facilities.”

Ava finally calmed down before she stared at the phone on the restaurant’s table before nodding her head.

She then looked at Kurt and asked, “If you know about the organization, what do you know of my father? ”

Kurt hesitated for a bit; his eyes were in deep wonder before making a speech. “Your father, I don’t know much about him. But I know your mother very well; we used to be romantic partners until she broke.”

Ava turned into curiosity. “Any reasons why you two broke up? ”

Kurt answered, “Work-related stuff. I think she said somewhere along the lines of ‘I want to move on from you and be free.’”

Kurt then continued, “Work-related stuff…. But when I saw her eyes, it wasn’t the partner I was with… But it was a monster in the making.”

“And from that day on, we made little contact until recently when I joined the name of the organization I couldn’t give lest I risk assassination at the back of my head.”

Ava grasped her fists, while on the table, her eyes and mouth turned to a frown of pent-up frustration. “Her, she kicked me out, didn’t she? ”

Kurt answered, “Yes, I am aware…”

Ava then looked at the curt with a more mellowed state. “So what is this organization all about? ”

The man grabbed the menu with a teasing smile, with a teasing, “I would tell you, but then I would have to kill you.”

Before Kurt makes a devilish smile before giggling to himself, “Nah, just kidding, it’s tied to a military that focuses on espionage, but to be honest even people there only scrape the surface of what this organization”

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

“Neither do I know anything about what goes beyond military, but it is an interstellar empire.”

“Unfortunately we are only relegated to espionage and military stuff.”

“But some of the fanatics here are crazy about the New World Order.”

Soon the waiter arrived carrying a tray before placing it on the table and handing them out.

Ava then placed her elbows on the table. “What’s in it for me then? With the organization”

Kurt replied, “You are useful to their military agenda. She will probably pick you up at the right time. But first things first, your training will begin tomorrow.”

Kurt then shrugged his shoulders and said, “In the meantime, do enjoy the delicacies, ay.”

Ava was confused at his word, not considering indulging in his wordplay, before her deep-green eyelids stared down at the delicacies”

Kurt furrows his eyebrows. “Tell me, Ava, how much are you like your mother? ”

  Ava asked, “Who, her? Ohhh.”

Kurt grins frustratingly, “She was such a beautiful, dazzling lady. Partook a bit in politics; she was a model that rose to fame… Many want a piece of her, even my heartstrings were in her hands.”

Kurt then placed his hands on his forehead. “But, uh, I kinda just moved on from her since she was becoming like a fox.”

“And I couldn’t pursue her anymore… I didn’t want to side with darkness.”

Kurt then stared at Ava. “You should be careful around her; she is way too calculated and dangerous.”

Kurt then taps on his phone and shows a picture of her, showcasing a graceful figure with closed eyes.

The hair was more brown, endowed with a slender hourglass figure that is graceful. Her clothes felt feminine with a black corset and a white blouse.

In the picture she is seen walking in a cat-like pose.

Ava stared at the phone. “Wow, she is a lot younger here. I resemble her even more, except her hair was more brunette than the one I know.”

“I already know she is not what I thought she was, but I didn’t think she would be this overwhelming to be around,” Ava confessed to Kurt, looking directly into his eyes.

“She is really a bloody schemer underneath that beautiful vestige, who could control you with his words.”

Kurt made an arc in his smile. “She was the femme fatale of this world, as they state it,” Ava answered. “Not surprised to hear you say that.”

“It’s not like I can say anything bad about her… She has been my mother my whole life, and now she takes the moral standard to kick me out.”

“And in some way I adopt some of her traits.”

Kurt stood quiet, acknowledging the internal pain in her memory.

“If there is one thing you want to seek, what would that be? ”

Ava hesitated before answering, “Meaning and truth—I couldn’t find it in my household nor in the education I am in, except for knowledge absorption and skill acquisition.”

Kurt then said, “I have read your files; you have exceptional performance in academics, but as noted by your teachers, you have a stilted attitude.”

“But you know, let’s just focus on the foods instead.”

Kurt then rotated his head to the plate and grabbed his utensils and started slicing his meal. Ava then indulged in the delicacy that is an ice cream in a glass with fervor in her eyes, savoring it with all her might.

Every savor of food mixes with her lipstick and sticks to the sides of her mouth. Chewing every piece of the delicacies with joy, with her eyelashes.

As Ava was in the middle of indulging before she was hit with curiosity, she looked at Kurt and asked, “Then why did you bring me on a ‘date’ then? ”

Kurt, who was chewing his meal, looked upward at Ava and answered, “It might look like a date to you, but this is just a meeting. That’s on you and your purview of what you thought seeing each other is.”

“Since you decided to dress like that, that’s on you.” He resumed biting into his meal, while Ava stared at Kurt with shock.

Kurt then commented, “You just can’t help yourself, can you? ”

Ava did not speak as she just stared at him, her eyes turned to solemn resignation towards her ice cream. “So you just left me to my own devices instead of correcting me.”

Kurt then grabs a napkin from the side of his plate and starts wiping his mouth. “It’s from The Art of War: never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”

Ava then frowns, and her hands clench. “I am not even your enemy; I am your ‘meeting’ partner.”

Kurt smirked, his eyes going straight towards him. “You are like her, aren’t you? Because that’s the kind of thing.”

  “She would do.”

Ava asked with confusion in her face, “Who? Oh my mother, do you get a spark seeing her spirit or something? ” in a mocking tone

Kurt then said, “I was going to say… Now that you decide to venture deep, think of yourself as someone partaking in a world of transactions.”

“After this dinner, we would relocate your stuff to my place, where your training begins.”

Ava then asked, “You seem comfortable talking about Cassandra; do you have a wife or children?”

Kurt answered professionally, “I only had a nephew; I had a wife, but she died a long time ago.”

“So yes, I did move on with her; it was only when I decided to investigate the organization that she and I recently got into contact… My life is sealed, but at least I did the good things before they separated my soul from my body.”

Kurt then finished his meal as he stood up, where he looked down at his nephew and said, “I was bitter when Cassandra left me; we were both lovers—but then she just left me. Now I understand when I decided to become a slave of the military industry she was once a part of.”

“The rest is history, so come on, let’s go.”

Ava stood frozen in her confusion, as silence beheld her body and mind, before looking at the delicacy and finishing it before standing up, where Kurt proceeded forward with Ava trailing him.

Ava then asked Kurt while trailing him back to his vehicle, “Tell me, newly discovered uncle of mine. Does my mother care about me? ”

Kurt answered, “I am sure she cares about you but not in a conventional capacity.”

“Most importantly, she told me about this partner of hers, an incredibly brilliant scientist whose scientific ambitions are worlds apart but who is very socially reclusive.”

“And there is you, the first product of that grandiose ambition.”

“I heard from her; he was incensed knowing that she seduced him with an aphrodisiac to give birth to your brother.”

“You are a weapon, Ava. If you are not a weapon, then you are the climax result of a selfish grandiose ambition.”

Tears in Ava slowly grew, and she commented, “So there was no love upon my birth, none of that.”

Kurt halted and stared at her with pity. “Yet you are still processing; that’s a luxury not everybody has.”

“Child, you will soon take a role that your mother had paved for you; she seems to believe that you will coincidentally work for the complex she is well associated with.”

“And most importantly, everything about you has been planned from the beginning; there was no free will that was moving around the corners.”

  “So prepare yourself, Ava.”

Ava listened before her face turned into resignation, where her eyes wept, and tears dropped to the floor before her face turned to resolve.

Kurt then disclosed, “The whole meeting was premeditated. Nothing about it was unusual in the nubile espionage test.”

Ava then stared at him and asked, “How did I do? ”

Kurt answered, “Satisfactory… but not at a level that is optimal.”

Ava frowned as she chatted with him. “Is that so? I want you to ensure a deal, that my brother and my stuff are taken care of, and I will play my part.”

Kurt nodded and replied curtly, “Very well.”

They soon head to the vehicle that Kurt drives and depart from Aria-C, where they embark through the skyroads and the air traffic.

As Kurt drives the vehicle, he asks Ava, “Where are you keeping your stuff? ”

Ava answered with a solemn face, “Elysium’s hotel.”

Kurt did not respond and resumed driving to its destination.

Ava stared at the moon shining with the skyscrapers' lighting and the beautiful and elegant yet formal skyroads wrapped around the skyscraper towers; she quietly gazed outside the windows.

Kurt resumed driving dexterously, traversing air traffic and skyroads of Sector 451, and finally departed from Aria-C.

Soon Kurt parked outside Elysium’s Hotel, where they exited the vehicle. Ava then looks at Kurt and asks, “Could you help me pack my stuff?”

Kurt nodded, “Will do,” without hesitation as they headed to her room to pack her clothes and stuff.

Kurt did the honors of carrying the handle of the luggage with wheels, while Ava did her part packing her bags and clothes before they descended down Elysium’s hotel and placed her belongings at the back of the vehicle.

Eventually they entered the vehicle and soared through the skies once again. Ava soon felt drowsy, but before they knew it, she arrived in the new neighborhood.

By the time she knew it, she felt a persistent touch on her shoulders nudging her to wake up, and she opened the vehicle’s door and exited.

She could notice the neighborhood being different from the one with her mother but still possessing the same metallic plastic material and architecture.

Ava saw a two-floor building with a garden, resembling a regular house.

Ava then looked at him and commented, “Your place is quite large, Uncle.” Kurt smiled as he approached the door and slid it open for Ava to enter.

Kurt gave a tour of the building; he showed the bathroom and other places in his house. She explored the house freely, and as Ava stared outside the house, the grass was greener than usual, perfect in its serenity.

Kurt then looked at Ava and said, “Enjoying the view of the garden, I see? Come with me; let me show you your room,” his hand gesture inviting.

She soon followed him to her designated room, where Kurt and Ava were inside, and where Kurt opened his palm and said, “Here is your room, Ava. You will be sleeping here as long as you want, and where you will be placing your future stuff.”

Ava stared at the bed before her hand touched the fabric of the bed, and she expressed her gratitude: “Thank you for giving me a place to stay.”

Kurt said, “Don’t mention it. I will be off to my room.”

Ava nodded and started placing her clothes in the drawer, preparing her belongings.

As soon as she prepared her belongings, she finished it. She headed to the bathroom and did a hygiene cleanup with her teeth and face, removing the eyelashes and leaving her lipstick before she decided to wear her nightgown; however, as Ava exited the bathroom, she saw a Nanotech sleep suit.

“Oh my gosh, it’s a sleep suit. Thank you so much! ” The echoes wailed throughout the room that she brought the nanotech suit and head to the room and wore it.

She soon lay on her bed with tranquility in her face and asked herself, “I wonder what comes next.”
