Chapter 66: Farm Party
In the movie, Andrew soon catches the attention of another girl named Casey who is holding a camera and filming at the party, but in fact this process takes nearly twenty minutes, making Lin Xiao wait anxiously.
Lin Xiao held a bottle of beer, leaning against the wall and observing Andrew in the crowd. If it weren't for his exceptional eyesight, it wouldn't be an easy task to lock onto one person in this sea of people with a bunch of glow sticks waving around.
Even so, Lin Xiao felt that his eyes were a bit dizzy after twenty minutes.
Over there, Andrew was exchanging a few words with Casey in hushed tones when Matt appeared.
There seems to be some unclear relationship between him and Casey. After seeing Casey, Matt forgot about his cousin Andrew and focused on chatting with Casey.
However, Casey seemed to be somewhat repelled by Matt, especially after Matt quoted Carl Jung and Casey sarcastically said "great" twice before deciding to leave.
Matt watched helplessly as Casey left, but couldn't find any reason to stop her.
"Hey! Matt, what's Jung's take on glow sticks?" Andrew asked with a grin, camera still rolling as he followed Matt.
Matt smirked and flipped Andrew off.
Lin Xiao watched this scene and couldn't help but smile.
At this time, several blonde girls twisting their waists nearby noticed Lin Xiao leaning in the corner. The three girls smiled at each other and then swayed towards Lin Xiao.
"Hey! Handsome guy, want to dance with us?" Three girls surrounded Lin Xiao, their twisting bodies occasionally rubbing against his, their eyes full of temptation as they looked at him.
Lin Xiao's gaze swept over the three people, and the dense eye shadow on their faces as well as the nose rings made Lin Xiao frown.
"Not necessary," Lin Xiao said calmly.
"Hey, handsome, don't be so cold!" A girl giggled and leaned in close, rubbing her chest against Lin Xiao's arm, laughing with a quivering smile.
Lin Xiao raised an eyebrow and with a "crash" sound, crushed the beer bottle in her hand. She looked at her coldly and said, "I said, not needed!"
Three girls were slightly startled and looked at Lin Xiao's intact palm, unable to help but dryly laugh as they retreated.
Shaking off the wine from his hand, Lin Xiao's gaze swept around the room indifferently. He picked up a coat from a nearby chair, wiped his hands with it, and then tossed it back onto the chair.
At this time, a man with a spiky head and a scorpion tattoo on his face frowned and looked at Lin Xiao.
"Hey kid, who told you to take this clothes?"
A few people gathered around, and that prickly-headed man stretched out his hand, pointing at Lin Xiao and scolding him.
"Is this dress yours?" Lin Xiao asked him calmly.
"What, do you know your mistake? Hurry up and kneel down to kowtow, I'm in a good mood so maybe I'll let you off!" The other party said rudely, while speaking, they also loudly ridiculed Lin Xiao with their three companions.
The people next to them saw what was happening and quickly scattered.
Cathy over there filming the party and Andrew randomly filming things also moved their camera lenses this way.
"It seems you're looking for trouble." Lin Xiao chuckled and said.
"Damn it! You dare to be so arrogant!" The thug seemed very displeased with Lin Xiao's calm demeanor, and directly swung a fist at Lin Xiao's cheek.
Bang!
This punch was simply caught by Lin Xiao with a single outstretched hand.
"You want me to hit you with this hand?" Lin Xiao's eyes sparkled with amusement as he gazed at his opponent, the force in his hand gradually increasing.
"Ow~! Ow ah~!" The punch-headed man felt like his fist was being clamped by an iron hoop, with the gradually increasing force making his bones crackle and creak. The intense pain made his legs go weak, and he directly knelt to the ground, crying out in agony.
His three companions looked at each other and rushed up with their fists flying.
"Let him go at once!" they shouted.
"Let him go? Alright!" Lin Xiao smiled faintly, his palm's five fingers suddenly clenched inward, making a loud "cracking" sound. Suddenly, he kicked out with one foot, striking the spiky-haired man right under the chin. In an instant, the spiky-haired man was kicked airborne, flying four or five meters before landing on the ground with a loud "thud".
"If you don't want your companion to die too early, then hurry up and take him to the hospital." Lin Xiao shook off the bloodstains on his hand, calmly picked up the clothes on the chair beside him to wipe himself clean, and threw them aside.
The three companions of the thug were momentarily stunned, especially when they saw the thug's bloody and mangled right hand, which made them swallow their saliva in fright. After hearing Lin Xiao's words, it was as if they had been granted a great amnesty, and they hastily retreated to help the thug up, pushing through the crowd and escaping.
Lin Xiao's gaze swept over the crowd that had suddenly fallen silent, and he slightly furrowed his brow before striding towards the entrance.
He's afraid that if he stays any longer, he'll mess up everything that follows.
The crowd on the road voluntarily gave Lin Xiao a way out, and it wasn't until he walked out of the door that the crowd erupted in shock.
"Awesome! Too cool!"
"Wow! That last kick was so cool!"
"They were really unlucky and bumped into a piece of iron."
"Haha, wonderful! Unfortunately, I forgot to record it just now. If I had, it would definitely go viral online!"
The crowd erupted in a chorus of sighs, while Andrew, who was filming the whole scene with his camera, couldn't help but feel envious.
"If I could be as fierce as him, it would be great!" he thought to himself.
Ten minutes later, the crowd began to stir again, the noisy music started, as if what had just happened had never occurred.
Andrew continued to wander through the crowd, his shoulder-mounted camera capturing everything he saw.
Did Lin Xiao really leave?
He didn't leave, he just walked to the big tree outside the barn, jumped onto a thick branch and sat there waiting.
He is waiting for Andrew to come out.
After waiting for more than half an hour, Lin Xiao finally saw Andrew come out of the barn. He hung his head low and held his camera in hand, walking to the grassy area beside the big tree where Lin Xiao was standing. After sitting down, he sobbed quietly, using his sleeve to wipe away some beer stains on the lens of his camera.
"Hey! Are you okay?" Lin Xiao shouted down at Andrew from his perch on a tree branch.
The sudden noise startled Andrew.
He looked around nervously, but didn't see anyone, and couldn't help but swallow hard while hugging the camera, clearly frightened.
"Hey! I'm up here." Lin Xiao said with a wry smile as he looked down at Andrew and shouted again.
Up there?
Andrew hastily lifted his head and indeed saw a figure sitting on the big tree beside him.
