Time may be just a year, but for this book "Homebody", what happened is far more than just a simple data.
From the first day of serialization, "The Housekeeper" has been shrouded in controversy. Accusations of plagiarism, immaturity, the so-called "Butcher God" incident, and some personal matters that I couldn't change, all unfolded before my eyes. The readers of "The Housekeeper" changed one batch after another, with countless online battles, and for a period of time, even my mood became gloomy and depressed.
Fortunately, I persisted!
On the shelves for 365 days, VIP word count exceeded 2 million, with an average of 5,000 words per day! This is my achievement!
Those who want to see the jokes in "Jia Ding", I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. Lao Yu has nothing else, but he has a kind of energy, a never-giving-up energy, from "Liang Ren Xing" it's been like this!
2 million! Seeing this number, I suddenly have an urge to cry. Some people, spend their whole lives, and still can't write 2 million words, while I, in just one year, typed them out one by one.
Persevere! These two words are easy to write, but how difficult it is to put them into practice. Sometimes I doubt whether all this was really written by me?
For a year, I don't remember what I did for fun, only that I was entertained by others. All I know is that every day after work, I would sit in front of the computer and write until 2 am, persisting day after day - with laughter and tears, like the five flavors of life.
Even now, every week's leave is jokingly referred to as "weekly period", but in fact, I never wanted a weekly period, it's just that many times, I had no choice!
"Jiading" is my child, and I'm delighted to see so many brothers liking her and looking forward to her. It makes me happy and excited. When I see her being scolded by others, I feel sad too, sometimes wanting to defend her but ultimately holding back.
A book is hard to be liked by everyone. In the past, when I wrote a poem for San Ge's painting, someone said, "Lao Yu, please don't write couplets and poems anymore, it's too much." It even triggered a debate in the book review section because of this.
Later on, San Ge stopped writing poetry, and someone came out to question - why did San Ge stop writing poetry? They still liked the way he used to write poetry.
Some people like romantic love stories, some people like hot-blooded wars; Some people like San Ge being an emperor, some people like him being carefree; Some people like collecting certain ladies' tones, some people say that if they were collected even the author would be a beast. All these kinds of things, it's hard to please everyone, I can only sigh. Wanting every reader to be satisfied is an impossible task. Sometimes I really feel exhausted, sticking to one's own ideas and thoughts is such a difficult thing!
Speed. 365 days, 2 million words VIP! Is this speed slow? I really find it hard to keep up. At this stage, the plot has already entered the middle and late stages, and I am still required to write a certain number of words every day, which is really difficult to achieve.
Every book has its creative highs and lows, you can go take a look, in the first few months after "Jiadin" went online, I wrote no less than others, nothing else, because at that time the plot had just started, everything could be written, and my thoughts flowed freely. But by the second half, if I could still maintain this speed, then I would be a god.
I've said it before, I'm not one who relies on bursts of energy. The only promise I can give to everyone is the two words "persevere", a promise that I will uphold until death.
Publication. The simplified Chinese edition of "Jiading" has actually been on the market for several months, published by Guangxi People's Publishing House, and I have never introduced it to everyone. In fact, I was too embarrassed to say so. Because I think the standard of "Jiading" is not up to publication, let alone how many brothers are willing to spend money to buy it. So, I won't recommend it to everyone either. If you really like to read it, you can search for it on Dangdang and Joyo, the book title remains unchanged.
In addition, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the brothers in Baidu Bar. It was there that I saw the illustrations from the book, almost every female character in Jia Ding has one. On the day when clicks broke 10 million and recommendations broke 1 million, I didn't write any thoughts. But on the day when it's been a year since I started posting and I've written enough for 2 million characters, if I don't write something, I'll feel like I owe myself an explanation.
