Chapter 82: My Wife Has Vanished!!!
(Celia’s POV)
When I woke up from our loving session, Guinevere was nowhere to be seen. I thought that I was hugging her in my sleep, but it was actually a large pillow. Did my wife slip this to me as a replacement for her? How cheeky…
An Hour Later.
Looking around the entire city, I found no trace of Guinevere at all. I was so damn worried about her… I thought to look at my System, and was going to ask the others what happened to Guinevere, but… I saw that she was now part of the guild.
Faith: “Guinevere realized that she was interrupting your work, so she decided to leave.” She informed.
Celia: “Why didn’t you tell me about this while I was searching for her?” I ask with a slightly upset tone.
Faith: “I was sleeping.” She answered.
Celia: “…”
Faith: “Actually, though I woke up due to your worrying, this is a good thing. Celia, since talking to you back in Sava’s universe, I haven’t slept a wink.” She explained with a serious tone.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Celia: “What!? Why not…” I say in shock.
Faith: “Because you’re so interesting to watch, Celia. Regardless, I at least need to sleep for a week. So until I wake up, you won’t be able to talk to me at all.” She replied with a remorseful tone.
Oh, that actually sucks… With Ruina, I never really got used to her being in my head. But with Faith, I was already so damn used to her being here with me. Now that she will be gone for a while… can I cope?
Celia: “Okay, do have a good rest.” I reply with a feigned calm tone.
Faith: “Ah, you sound so sad… Would you really miss me that much?” She asked with a giggle.
Celia: “Yes… but you need to sleep.” I admit.
Faith: “Well, knowing that you’ll miss me so much… does make me happy. I’ll make sure to only rest as much as I need to do so.” She replied with a warm and happy tone.
Celia: “…”
Minutes later, I tried talking to Faith, but she didn’t reply. Faith must be already sleeping now… Shaking my head, I left Guinevere’s cafe room thingy, and set off to find more players.
As you would expect, prior to leaving, Guinevere had completely closed down her cafe. It does make me sad to see it closed, but I will make sure to give her a better one after we get to Home.
Three Days Later.
Working was hard… I didn’t have any of my wives with me now, and messaging them didn’t really have the same effect as them being near me. Not to mention… but Faith was silent as can be.
With these circumstances, I found it hard to do anything at all. I knew that I was dependent on my family, but I didn’t realize how much I liked Faith being with me at all times.
Rushing back home to that closed down cafe, I jumped into bed. Faith was sleeping, and since I cannot function without her by my side, then I should as well. As such, I closed my eyes, and appeared in my soul once more. Faith… let’s sleep together.
