  Chapter 94: Can’t She Just Relax…

  (Alisa’s POV)

  Knock!

Alisa: “It’s unlocked.” I reply to the knocking as such.

Celia: “Hey, dear daughter of mine… What are you doing right now?” She asked with a slightly awkward tone.

Alisa: “Hm? Nothing important, just reading a book.” I answered, showing her what I was reading.

It was some lesbian smut, but either Celia didn’t notice that it was, or she didn’t mind me reading it. I have a wife, and I am not a child, so I love that she respects me so much.

  Celia: “Oh… interesting.” She praised.

Mother… Do you have to make it so very obvious? We did alll that work for you, all just so that you could relax. But, noooo! You don’t have such a mode in you; it seems.

She actually gets sleep when resting with Faith, but otherwise, Celia is just in constant work mode. This, of course, is due to her upbringing. In her previous life, she used her being a teacher as a means of ignoring her trauma.

This, did, in fact, work. But it led to what Celia is today. A workaholic, one that willingly stains her soul, all just to help random bitches that mean nothing to her. Excuse my anger, but I am greatly upset about this entire thing.

And why shouldn’t I be upset? Celia, and her amazing loving heart, cursed herself to an early grave. And nothing that we can do will be able to save her. Faith is our only hope in this regard…

Alisa: “Do you want to spend time with me, Mom?” I asked with a smile.

Celia: “Can we? You have been around the city of this rest dimension, recruiting women, but there are still some nice places to explore in it.” She replied with a slightly nervous tone.

Why do you look so nervous, Celia? I am your daughter, so, of course, I am willing to spend time with you. Though, that isn’t why she is acting this way. It’s just that… since she is only asking to spend time with me, as she cannot do any work at all, Celia feels off about it, remorseful, even.

I do not fault her for this in any way, though. This is how Celia has lived for countless years, and isn’t something that will easily change. After arriving in Home, we’ll have to give Celia therapy to heal from her untreated trauma, which caused such a lifestyle.

Alisa: “I’d love to explore with you, Mom. Should we ask Ruina if she wishes to go as well?” I ask in reply.

Celia: “That girl? She is in her own little world, even now.” She answered with a sigh.

  Alisa: “…”

That’s true. With her identity of being a System Helper, Ruina was always interested in tech things. This game is the most interesting thing in existence to Ruina at the current moment.

And with Celia being… so respected and feared by the staff of the game, Ruina was given full access to explore how it all works. Surely, if let loose upon existence, Ruina will do something crazy, just like her mother…

Alisa: “We can convince her to join us. She does like fiddling with the game tech, but she loves you far more.” I say with a confident tone.

Celia: “Okay! Let’s go convince her of this, then!” She replied with a confident tone.
