Chapter 31: Remorse for the Slime God…

  (Celia’s POV)

  Taking out one of those EXP 2X Multiplier Crystals out, I quickly ate it within seconds. I was still flying above the Slime, which was going so slow that, unless you focused for minutes, you’d wouldn’t even think that it was actually moving.

  Extending my arm and hand, I aimed at the core within the Slime God. Even if I used weak magic, this thing will easily have its core destroyed by me. I don’t know if such monsters feel pain, but even so, I planned on making its death quick.

  Faith: “Wait!!” She exclaimed in a hurry.

  Celia: “What!?” I reply, nervously.

  Faith: “Don’t you feel bad for the little… huge guy? It lived for so long, and got so big, but here you are, about to kill it in one shot, without even batting an eye.” She explained with a sad tone.

  Celia: “…”

  Girl… I just powered up a large, but pointed, magic attack, and you stop me for a reason like this? Since when was Faith a remorseful person? She never was!!!

  Honestly, I was afraid that Faith was going to tell me that this Slime God was actually a being that I’d get major Sin points for killing. But, nooooo! It was just her totally making a joke…

  Faith: “I want to taste it.” She admitted without being asked.

  Celia: “???”

  Faith: “Look… don’t you know that Slimes taste good? We have, quite possibly, the only opportunity in existence to eat one that is so well aged!” She explained with an excited tone, no longer pretending to have any remorse for the Slime.

  Celia: “Did you expect me to vaporize its entire body? I was just going to destroy the core…” I replied with a long sigh.

  Faith: “Great! Just store it in your inventory, and I will taste it then.” She happily replied.

  Celia: “(~OAO)”

  Faith: “What?” She asked with a confused tone.

  Celia: “You can access my spatial storage???” I asked in a shocked tone.

  No, really… I never knew of this. It wasn’t like Faith has ever taken anything out of my storage, and even with me knowing that our souls are connected, I didn’t realize that she had access to it…

  Faith: “I do, but I am not a monster or thief, Celia. Just think… your storage holds countless valuable items. Most would probably be willing to kill you, all just to get 1% of it, you item hoarding girl!” She answered with a hearty laugh.

  Celia: “Are you going to continue teasing me, or can I go ahead and kill your meal for you?” I replied with a slightly annoyed tone.

  Faith: “Can you cook it too?” She asked with an innocent tone.

  Celia: “…”

  Faith: “Please? I have never eaten your food before…” She pleaded.

  Celia: “Fine…” I agreed after a moment of silence.

  Faith: “Yay! Celia, you’re the best! I’ll truly treat you well in your next wife… I mean, life!” She said with a cheerful tone.

  Celia: “(>3<)”

  How does one even cook a Slime? Should I roast it, smoke it, simmer it, bake it? I have no idea at all… But I can just ask Faith about it later, I guess. Enough delaying, Slime God, prepare to finally die!!!
