Volume 7. Chapter 36: Again, I Am Worried For Her… (Chapter 637.)

Chapter 36: Again, I Am Worried For Her…

  (Maralia’s POV)

Faith: “Your wife is now stronger than you, Maralia.”

Maralia: “I am aware of that…”

Faith: “Don’t feel too bad! There are a few Stats of yours which are higher than hers. You’ll just have to ignore how she isn’t even the max level for her current race!”

Faith’s boasting of Celia was… actually nice. I felt no sadness or anger for Celia becoming so strong. That is, her becoming strong isn’t something which I hate, I just… there is a cost to this, I am sure.

Deep in their minds, her family surely thinks the same as me. Celia is too young, and her power too strong. Sava’s water isn’t enough to expin it all, either…

After all, even prior to that, Celia was strong. Frankly, it could be a mix of the different pluses to her life. Her going back in time, Sava’s water, Faith being with her, etc.

Faith: “Celia only has 100 years left to live. She got strong far too fast, with her saving every woman that she can, now it has all finally caught up to her.”

Maralia: “…Is it that bad already?”

Faith: “It is, yes. Soon, if nothing is done for her, Celia will become a cripple before dying in her sleep.”

This reality was… something that I knew. I could look at Celia and easily know that her time was limited. But Faith was directly connected to her, so that woman could see Celia’s current state far better than we could.

What was the solution to this? We thought that we had far more time, but that was apparently a pointless hope of ours…

Faith: “Maralia, sacrifice your lifespan for her.”

Maralia: “…I am willing, but would that be enough?”

Faith: “Enough to save her permanently? Not at all, no. But it will give her more time. We just need to get through the game, and then I can do my pn to save her.”

Maralia: “You’ve decided on a pn?”

Faith: “I have. I love Celia too much, and I am more than willing to commit horrible sins for her. For now, we just need to give Celia some more time to live.”

Her pn… the fact that she isn’t expressing it to me is… somewhat scary. Regardless of how sinful, I will have to turn a blind eye to it. After all, Faith will be committing sins, all in service of saving my wife.

Maralia: “How much should I give her?”

Faith: “50,000 years. Assuming that she will continue to stain her soul, and as well as get stronger, she’ll easily be down to a few thousand by the end of the game.”

  Maralia: “So little…”

Faith: “It will be enough though, Maralia. Besides, unlike the others, with your extremely potent and immense Divinity, you’ll only have to give up 100,000 years of your life to give Celia 50,000 years.”

Maralia: “It’s not really a sacrifice, in truth. I’ll recover that 100,000 in just a few hundred years.”

With the pn set, I just needed to visit Celia. I need… I very much want to give her more time… This conversation and pn… makes it seem like we could just do this to save Celia fully, but it wouldn’t work like that at all.

At most, this is just patching up a still bleeding wound, one that won’t heal without drastic measures. Either way, I need to go see my loving wife once more…
