Ch. 31 – A date during the 14th century!

“So what you’re telling me, is that you just made ‘befriended’ a bunch of Norse Elves with your sweet words?” Sitting on the couch, Serafall crossed her arms under her bosom as I’m uo stay my eyes away from it.

“ly sweet words. It was just a ce that I helped them with a thorn on their side so they gave me a small favour.” I corrected her.

“Yeah, and that favour is literally learning the magic of Norse Elves. Do you know how big this is! Norse Elves are known for their incredible patibility with the magic itself! They even dwarf us devils in terms of magic spells and not only you learer but also even Runes!”

“Iire world, you only t the beings who use magies in one hand.” Why is she looking at me as if I’m an idiot?

“Ehem. I actually know that.” I replied.

“Then you should already know that magies are airely different magic system pared to magic spells? What are you even pnning to do with learning magies?”

Hmm, should I tell her the truth? That I want to go back to being human while retaining the bes of being a devil?

  Do I trust her enough?

As if sensing the trouble inside me, Serafall’s face softened and said.

“I won’t ask about it if you’re unfortable. But that doesn’t mean I’ll let you off the hook for leaving without telling me!”

“Sigh. So what do you want then?”

“Hmm….There’s this thing I heard that humans do, where they go around and visit pces with each other. It sounds fun.”

Is she talking about dating? So it already exist during this era? Good to know, I guess?

“I think I know what you’re talking about. Sure, let’s do it.” I nodded my head and agreed, well of course I’ll agree, I’ve been through several dates in my past life and sidering Serafall is o this, it would be like a walk in the park.

Serafall then grinned as she unched forward and crashed into my chest.

  “Let’s go now!”

“Wait right now? But it requires meticulous pnning to pull one!” I excimed.

“Pnning? Why does it needs pn? We’ll just go out and roam around, right?” Serafall fusedly stared at my face, as if I’m the one who doesn’t know what dating is.

Resisting the urge to roll my eyes at her, I sighed i and gave in.

“Fine. Let’s do it.” Well, it’s not like there’s much to see around here. So we’ll be quick. I think?

  “Yaaayy!”

  ***

After leaving the farm house to Belle and Tam’s care, we finally went out to roam the vilge.

For starters, the vilge itself is very rge, to the point that you almost call it a small town.

The vilge already have everything to offer for daily life such as a bcksmith, small market and even a small motel, though in this case, the motel was a tavern, just like how it was described in history.

“Look! What’s that!” Serafall excitedly poi a horse.

“That’s a horse, Serafall. Don’t devils have them too?” I sighed, I should’ve expected this.

“Well how about him? He looks too huge for a human!” Now that she poi him, we both chuckled and found the huge man funny.

His breasts are way too huge for a man.

“Take a look at her, she have a mustache.” I then poi the woman drinking on a cup, having a thick mustache.

We both stifled out ughs as to not gather their attention.

After that, we went around the vilge and discovered more about its history.

It turns out, this vilge also have its share of supernatural side.

During the creation of this vilge, nearby vilges wao harm it, to prevent them from establishing the vilge. Ialiation, the aor chief of the vilge prayed to God, to give them prote from other vilges.

God being God, gave the aor his blessing, emp the man with great strength to defy the other vilges.

The aor was successful, finally establishing the vilge as one.

Getti and thankful for the blessing, the chief offered to build a chur his vilge.

  God however, refused—reasons unknown.

Still thankful for his blessing, the aor chief decided to name his son after his most powerful angel, Michael.

Grateful for this, Michael decided to also give his blessing by making ead every vilger living in the vilge to always live a happy life until death as long as no supernatural thing occurs.

And until to this day, only the vampire who stumbled upon the vilge, caused trouble for the vilge, which was soon resolved by your one and only, me.

“I didn’t know Big G and Michael was chill like that.” Serafall muttered to herself as we finished reading the history book of the vilge.

“I guess there’s a reason why they’re currently the dominant religion around the world, even surpassing the oldest ones.” I replied, making Serafall turn her head to look at me in curiosity.

  “How so?”

“Well for starters, uhe other pantheons who only helped the humans at the beginning and ohey started getting worshipped, they saw no be helping them anymore, expeg their initial help towards humans to st a lifetime. But God didn’t see it that way. Despite growing his religion to bee the biggest, he still offers help towards human, solidifying his image as a benevolent god.”

“Hence, why God is the most famous and worshipped god iire world and will tio do so iure. Of course, there are others who are on par with him but we’re talking about God here not them.” I finished, expeg Serafall to e and praise me for my intelligence, being able to analyze such a prospect.

  “….I wonder…”

“Hmm?” fused by her reply, it was my turn to look at her and saw that she was squinting her eyes at me.

“Why’re you looking at me like that?” I awkwardly chuckled.

“I wonder how you were able to mention Big G’s hout spasming on the flht now.” The moment she dropped her words, I quickly stopped in my tracks, sweat f on my forehead as I just realized my mistake.

you bme me? For all my life bined, I always say the wod and not Big G, so it’s almost like a muscle memory for me!

Still, I o make my from this situation.

“W-Well, I mean, I do still feel the zaps but I grew immuo it?”

“Liar! You’re lying again!” Serafall loudly accused while pointing her index fi me, as if she roud that she caught me g.

And why are you shouting!? We’re in a public space, Sera!

“….I’ll expin it once we get bae.” Looking around me, I quickly noticed that every adult man and women were whispering to each other with an amused smile on their faces, as if they’re watg a drama between a wife and husband.

  Goddammit, how troublesome.

Ign the cries of Serafall, I quickly swooped in and carried her in a princess carry, makiop running her mouth and instead, blush like a tomato.

“W-What are you doing?! P-put me down!” Oh, so now you’re whispering?

Instead of heeding her words, I brought her to a secluded alley before dropping her gently.

“What’s wrong with you? I was just asking you how you mention Big G’s hout gettirified.”

“Well, I don’t know, maybe because someone was shouting and calling me a liar in front of so many people? I’m not sure.” Sarcastically replying, I shrugged my shoulders.

“…Oh….My voice was loud?” Serafall tilted her head in fusion.

So you’re telling me you ’t gauge the volume of your own voice?

  How is that even possible?

It’s like a blind person being blind and thought it was normal and everyone else is also blind.

“Yes. It was.” Despite the frustrations inside my mind, I answered with a simple but monotone voice.

  “Oh, my bad. Tehe~.”

What do you mean by Tehe!?

“Sigh. Look, I don’t mean to hide this from you but I was just afraid you’d overreact if I told you.”

Well, to be ho, there’s nothing wrong tellihat I met God, as long as I kept my reination a secret.

However, I could tell her that I came from a different world and make it so the Marvel World was my inal world.

Because I’m a hundred pert sure, this kind of secret is something I won’t be able to keep for long.

“Overreact? I don’t overreact.” She defended herself, which just prompted me to stare at her in silent, my dull expression making her retract the words she said.

“W-Well, I do overreaetimes but only sometimes!”

“Sigh. Alright, now whatever I’m about to tell you, keep it between us and don’t overreact!” Hearing my words, Serafall excitedly nodded her head, ag as if an adult was about to tell her, a child—a secret that not even fellow adults know.

“When I first arrived at this vilge, I met God.”

“What!? You met God-zap! Ahh!” Before Serafall could finish her words, God’s curse thankfully stopped her from attrag nearby attention.

Seriously, I just told her not to overread she does exactly just that.

She’s like a child. Wait, she’s 16, so she is indeed a child. Should’ve known that.

“Are you okay now?” Seeing that she’s recovered, I helped her stood.

“W-What do you mean you met Big G? Like, did he show up in person?”

  “Yes.”

“How? Not everyone just meet Big G in person.”

“Let’s just say, I’m a bit of special. You know, I used to be a human, remember? My situation is quite special, so it must’ve caught his attention somehow.” I shrugged my shoulders, actually, this was also ky theory as to why God was ied in me.

Either that or he knows about my in being from another world.

  Hopefully, it’s not the tter.

“Maybe.” It seems like Serafall also agrees to my theory.

“Still, that doesn't expin how you mao bee immune from saying his name.”

“ht about that, he kind of gave me a pass. Maybe because I used to be a human and I might be unfortable being uo say his name or something like that.”

“That doesn’t make any sense. Either you’re someone special to him or he’s just too free to give you something as simple as that.” Serafall felt like her head would explode. Everything that she hears from me was the exact opposite of what she learns from what was taught to her.

To her, Big G is supposed to be some sort of stingy god who favours the humans more than his own ‘perfect’ creation, the Angels.

Lucifer oher hand, is a benevolent ‘angel’ who just wahe best for his kind, so he decided to front Big G and make him regret choosing mankind over them, the Angels.

“Well whatever’s the reason, we’ll never know unless we ask him ourselves. e o’s go, we still have a date to tinue.” Holding her hand, I pulled ourselves out of the alley.

“What’s a date? You meae today?” I didn’t even answer her question as I simply started walking without any sense of dire.
