Ch. 33 – A Wild Serafall has appeared!

Following Sylphie outside, I was quickly met with the rest of the Norse Elves surrounding something or more specifically, someone.

Upon our arrival, the Elves noticed her presend quickly parted to give her way.

However, that's the moment I finally saw who they were surrounding.

"Hey! Didn't I tell you guys? I told you, I'm not here to cause harm! I was just looking for my friend!" It was Serafall, bounded by wooden cuffs while throwing a tantrum like a child.

At the same time as I saw her, the same goes for her.

"Oh! ChamCham! It's me! Serafall. Look, see? I told you I'm here for my friend!" Exactly as her face beamed up while calling my name, everyone's eyes nded on me.

"…I have no idea who she is," I answered while looking away.

"Eh? ChamCham? CHAMCHAM! Uwaahhh!~" Tears welled up in her eyes as she felt the pain of 'betrayal'.

"ChamCham, how could you do this to me? I thought we were friends!?" She cried once more.

Meanwhile, I noticed Sylphie was also staring at me, her eyes tellihat she was fused by the situation.

Giving her an awkward smile, Sylphie sighed and shook her head, fortunately, she seemed to have uood my smile.

"Let her go. She's ." Sylphie announced, earning doubtful looks not just from the Elves but even from Serafall herself.

  "Eh? Really? I'm ?"

"But Lady Sylphie." One of the Elves wao pin however seeing her shaking her head, she decided to zip her mouth.

"Heh? I'm finally free?" Right exactly as she finished her question, the answer came in the form of her wooden cuffs loosening.

"Looks like we'll be having a talk, right ChamCham?" Sylphie turned her attention to me with an amused expression, using the niame that Serafall just used earlier.

"Hey! Only I call ChamCham that way! You have nht to call him that!" Once free, Serafall pointed her fi Sylphie while acg her.

Sigh, Serafall, you're smarter than this.

"Oh really? Then what's the differeween us on why you call him as sud I'm not?" Crossing her arms under her bosom, Sylphie looked at Serafall with a provocative smirk pstered on her face.

"It's obvious! I'm ChamCham's one and only best friend and you're not!" She answered with a desding tone.

"Heh, ~ best friend? So you're just a friend then? Unlike you, I am his teacher, so I believe he has more respee than yours." Sylphie replied with an air of superiority surrounding her.

Oh e on, you're the older one here! Why are you pying along with this?

Screaming in my mind, I was tempted to yell at them to stop when suddenly, Serafall grinned and answered something ued.

"Oh yeah? Just a teacher? Guess what! ChamCham will soon be my fiancee! So you lose!" As Serafall was basking in victory over her oppo, silensued in the viity as Sylphie and the other elves stared at Serafall with awkward smiles on their faces.

As for me? How I wish I could just dig in the ground and bury myself there forever.

This is too embarrassing for me.

Where in God's name did the word fiancee e from?

As for Serafall, it took her quite a while to notice the silence around her, and finally realized the gravity of the words she just said.

Uo bear it anymore, her face became as red as a tomato as she scoured away with a flushed face.

Watg her leave the forest, I sighed in relief. At least she's finally gone for now, whatever happened here, I'll talk to her about it, there's no way she would just say that out of her desire to win the argument, I smell a spiracy from it.

"Well well well, now that your 'fiancee' has left, shall we resume ic lesson? Or should I give you some time for this 'revetion'?" Turning around to face me, I could see a teasing smile on her face as she made fun of me.

"….No need for those, teacher." Gritting my teeth, I resisted the urge to get back at her for such harassment. However, as she is my teacher, I won't be able to do so.

However, that doesn't mean I won't get my revenge on her. Once I finish learning under her, I'll make sure that my revenge will be remembered by her forever.

'This is for the future of humanity.' I muttered to myself as a form of g.

And so, the elves resumed hunting for their m breakfast while me and my magic teacher, Sylphie went back to her hut to resume the session.

  ***

'I 't believe I just said that!' Back at the Underworld, Serafall wasted no time getting on her bed and c herself uhe covers.

Her face was still beet red from the words she uttered earlier.

'I'm too embarrassed to face him now. What would he think of me?' Wanting to go ba time to punch her past self on the head for revealing such a thing, Serafall sighed and finally calmed down.

She remembered the words that her father told her after the Anti-Satan faeeting.

'No matter what, we'll ehat Chamber stays in our family. It doesn't matter how, I noticed how Zekram Bael holds that boy in high regard. I don't know what it is but the reason should be important enough.' Was what her father told her during their talk.

'So I pn to engage you to him, Sera. I know you like him and hopefully, he likes you too. Don't worry, I'll take care of everything, you don't have to worry, this is for the sake of our family.' Then came the revetion which shocked not only her but also her mother, Emilea.

However, during that talk, for some reason, she didn't feel any aowards her father who just forced her inte.

In fact, she feels grateful for him.

Her heart kept skipping a beat whenever her thoughts began to wa herself and ChamCham standing side by side—no longer as best friends but as husband and wife.

Before she k, she yawned and fell asleep on her bed.

  ***

While Serafall had fallen asleep, Sylphie was teag me a eique called Mana Field.

Basically, it is a magic teique where the caster would use their mana to form a circur field around them, the rger the radius, the more it es mana.

What this does however is simir to expanding one's senses.

Once you cast Mana Field, everything and everyone ihe Mana Field will be felt by the caster, effectively giving them some sort of limited sixth sense.

'It's like f a domain. Maybe I could expand this Mana Field and improve it.' Eager to test this, thankfully we had break times in order to restore our energies.

Fortunately, my demoniergy recovery is almost ten times faster than average, so instead of resting to recover, I searched for a secluded pce around the forest and decided to put my idea to the test.

First, I created my Mana Field or in my case, Demonic Field, and expa to 10 meters in radius, enough to cover several trees and grasses.

The step took me a few trials and errors before finally succeeded.

Right in front of me was a Demonic Bullet, nothing sounds special about it.

Except for the fact that I didn't jure this on top of my palm or doiures, instead, I cast the spell a few meters away from me, far from my figure but still ihe domain of my Demonic Field.

'I 't believe it worked!' I couldn't help but yell excitedly in my mind.

Who wouldn't be? This thing might seem average but when it es to bat, especially a critical one, being able to cast spells anywhere I like would be very devastating to my oppos.

Just imagine casting the same demonic bullet but instead of my palms, I cast it behind their heads, effectively killing them with ease.

Ho ho ho. There's no way I'm going to let this magic teique slip up. I'll try to tinue improving this and who knows, maybe someday iure, I would be able to cast more than a single spell at the same time.

After testing my eique for a few more times, I went back to the hut, and Sylphie sensing nothing wrong, resumed the session.

Maybe. Just maybe I could also use this for pranks.

  ***

Before I k, it was already midnight and it was time for me to go back.

"I've never met a student as talented as you. Not even the great mages from Alfheim. You're exceptional, Chamber." Before leaving, Sylphie didn't hesitate to shower me with praises again.

  Talent huh?

Of course, I know about my talent. There's a reason why I was deemed as the you sorcerer ba Kamar-Taj.

Because before me, it was my former master, Kaecilius who was known as the you sorcerer, being able to bee a full-fledged sorcerer under A One's guidahin just the age of 28.

As for me, I stole that title after being a full-fledged sorcerer at the age of 15.

Now, before you ask a questio me clear things up. I started learning sorcery when I was 13. While Kaecilius started learning when he was already 23.

It took me two years to graduate from student, oher hand, Kaecilius took five years.

You already tell by this about the gap betweewo of us, I'm much more talehan him.

However let's not t the future Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Strange. I'm not sure how many years or months he studied at Kamar-Taj but all I know is that guy is simply cheating by wielding an ability called Photographic Memory.

If I had such ability, I'm fident I could bee a sorcerer in just a year.

"Thank you, Teacher." Thanking her, I bowed my head in respect.

"Good manners, Chamber. Now remember a few things before you go baorrow. Since you have already grasped the basid fuals, it is time for you to learn more advaeiques and ways to use your demonic power. And among them is being able to hide your Demoniergy."

"Gradually, once you ceal your demoniergy, your devil smell will also start to fade and disappear."

Hearing her words made my eyes gleam iement.

So it has finally arrived. The ce to bee a novel's hidden boss has finally arrived!

Hidden bosses in novels are sometimes known for two things.

First is an old man that the protagonist actally bumps into that turns out to be a long living relic of the past that decided to live a carefree life until death.

Lastly, a being s that their energy inside 't be measured by others.

Like there's an endless void of energy situated ihem.
