Goblin
Monster Level - I (Zero)
Soul Type - Composite
Intelligence - Low Humanoid
Strength - Weak
Magic - Weak
Rarity - Ubiquitous
Goblins are the most common humanoid monsters. They appear as slight ugly green skinned men, about three feet high and with long ears. Weak, stupid, and aggressive, goblins can and have been killed by children with kitchen knives. Still there's always more of them. In large enough numbers they can be dangerous even to a trained fighter.
Their one noticeable ability is their incredible accuracy. A goblin mage can barely summon a spark of fire, but it can target that flame at someone's eye, or a flask of oil. Fortunately almost all goblins are too dumb to do anything more than run forwards and try to stab.
It's rumored that goblins are one of the reasons why complicated pre Fall weaponry is no longer common. Delvers carry robust gear and backup weapons just in case a lucky or smart goblin damages their primary weapon.

Merge
Common Name : Elf
Benefits : Accuracy. Plant Affinity. Superior Hearing.
Weaknesses : Height and Weight Loss.
Elves are some of the most common merges, and have been since the Fall. In fact most people believe an elf was the first merge. Named after a mythical creature from pre Fall times, elves have incredible accuracy and their long pointed ears give good hearing. It's a popular merge for people who want to do detailed work or hunt. However the merge almost always causes a loss in height and muscle mass. Elves over 5'6" are rare.
Another common alteration is hair bleaching, with elves frequently having blonde or silver hair. And strangely elves seem to have a strong affinity with plants. This carries over to plant monsters , with unintelligent plant monsters often not attacking elves. Goblins don't seem to show those talents though given goblin magical power, maybe they're limited to making flowers bloom slightly faster.
