All the captains were disgusted to learn that the former captain of the Purple Orcas had engaged in many dirty works aside from selling out the mages that maintaihe protective spells around the capital.

  After the discussion was over, Yami and Alex walked out of the Magic headquarters only to be stopped by Sol Marron of the Blue Rose Squad.

  "Hey, you're Alex, right? e with me, Charlotte, err... I mean my Captain wants to talk something important with you."

  Yami blinked his eyes twid asked. "Hey kid, did you do something to piss off her?"Alex looked at him and gave a bnk expression, spreading his arms. "I've no idea just like you."

  "Anyway kid, be sure to e back alive, okay?" Yami patted his bad disappeared as quickly as he could, causing Alex's facial muscles to twitch. He looked at Sol and sighed.

  "Lead the way."

  Sol shrugged his shoulder and walked ahead with Alex following her behind.

  "Hey kid, what is so special about you?"

  'He is a little mood-looking than others but he is still a man. At least he does not smell like those muscle brains and I feel rexed near him.'

  "What do you mean? And stop calling me, kid. I have a name." Alex grumbled in annoyance.

  "Ah, just follow me. Men are so annoying." Sol pined.

  Alex's facial muscles twitched and a tick mark appeared on his forehead. He stepped forward and spped her butt in the middle of the street.

  "Aah!" Sol jumped up in surprise as she quickly covered her rear. Gring at Alex, aremely fierce expression appeared on her face.

  Sol waved her hand and summoned her grimoire.

  Alex grabbed the hilt of his sword and shouted. "Do you think I'm scared of you? Believe it or not, I'll teach you a good lesson in front of everyone."

  "You!..." Sol gred at Alex, wanting to beat the hell out of him. But then she suddenly remembered the instrus of her captain.

  Before she came here t Alex to Charlotte, the tter had specifically advised her to not piss him off.

  Sol took a deep breath and humphed coldly before walking away.

  Alex was annoyed but he could only follow her.

  Soon, they arrived in front of a luxurious building that was decorated with various items. The symbol of the Blue Rose squad was hanging at the top, a plete trast to the Bck Bull base which looked like someone had just weirdly assembled blocks.

  Sol guided him into the base up te office.

  When they ehey saw Charlotte Roselei sitting behind a desk, looking at some papers in her hand.

  "I brought him, Char. But he is an idiot." Sol spoke enthusiastically.

  Charlotte put down the paper in her hands and raised her head to look at them.

  "Good job, Sol. And call me Captain!"

  "Hehe..." Sol just stuck out her to her remark.

  Charlotte shook her head with a sigh before turnitention to Alex.

  "Asta, e and sit down here." She walked over to a pair of sofas and signaled him to take a seat.

  Alex stared at her fad walked over, taking a seat opposite her.

  Charlotte waved her hand and addressed Sol. "Leave us alohere is something private that I want to discuss with him."

  "e on, Char. I already know just ask him." Sol said quickly, staring at her leader.

  Charlotte had a slightly embarrassed expression as she took a g Alex's face. Her mind drifted back to the past when she was young.

  Charlotte was born into House Roselei.[5] As a child, she is cursed so that on her eighteenth birthday, she and her family will be trapped in a cage of time, unless her heart is stolen by a man. Charlotte resolves to bee strong enough to break the curse herself and ter joins the Blue Rose squad. However, she failed to break the curse in time and surreo the overflowing magic.

  While she was surrounded by those briars, her entire life fshed in front of her eyes and she monologued at how weak she was.

  Just as she was ready to accept her fate, an explosion occurred close to her and a figure appeared in her view.

  Someone smmed through her briars and nded on top of her. Because of the suddes, their lips actly touched which jolted her awake as she stared at that person.

  He was a young man with red ruby eyes wearing a mask on his face. She was uo see his facial features and before she could react, the young man stood up and asked.

  "Hey sister, are you alright?" Gng outside, he grumbled. "That bastard. What if it has harmed you? I'll teach him a lesson for you one day."

  "Anyway, let me help you first." The young man grabbed his sword and cut all the briars with ease, carryio the ground.

  "See you around, sister." The young boy smiled and turned around to leave.

  "Wait!"

  Charlotte broke out of her daze, watg him leave, and shouted.

  "Hmm, what happened? Are you in pain?"

  "What's your name?" Charlotte tried to stand up and ask with a desperate expression.

  The young boy stared at her for a moment and smiled. "My name, hehe... it's..."

  Charlotte was surprised as she listeo him. And just as he finished, he jumped out, leaving her alone.
