Chapter 43

Gregory, Kelsey, Mai and Saige drive and pull up to the police station parking lot. They then get out and walk into the police station and approach the front counter. “Hey we’re here to visit the cells of Jax and Roman.”, says Gregory. “Already transferred to Queen Evelin.”, the secretary says. “Yup, thought so. Where do we go to see them?”, asks Gregory. “Just up to Queen Evelin’s castle. Are you foreigners?”, asks the secretary. “Yeah.”, says Gregory. The secretary explains, “Oh then you’re new to this process. She lets anyone visit the castle. Just stroll up there and tell the guards your purpose of visiting and they should let you in. If it’s not too crowded.”. “Not too crowded?”, asks Gregory. “You may see once you get there. You can even walk there from here. It’s not too far. Just behind the building and go straight.”, says the secretary. “Alright. Thank you.”, says Gregory. The group then walk out of the police building and keep walking.

Along the way they see demons heading down the opposite side of the street, wearing average civilian clothes. And another demon slightly pumps into Gregory, while wearing a hoodie. “Sorry.”, says the demon as he continues on his way past them. “It's so weird seeing demons walk among us. Just peacefully.” Says Saige. “Yeah, but it’s also even weirder hearing you complain about it Saige. Aren’t you a demon?”, says Mai.

“Not a de-”, says Saige. Then he stops himself and ponders. “You know.. I’m not sure what I am anymore.”, says Saige. He then bumps into a big line leading all the way to Queen Evelin’s Castle. “Are you serious? We gotta wait in this big ass line if we wanna see Roman and Jax?”, says Saige. “Yeah. Well time to get to waiting.”, says Gregory.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

They then wait in line, and wait, and wait for some time, but the line hardly budges. “I’m sick of this!”, says Saige. “For once, the Blue Phoenix would like to agree. We should be wasting our time training.”, says Kelsey.

“Well I said I’d meet up with them after 24 hours. But we could get to training if you’d like.”, says Gregory. “Aw, I kinda wanted to see what was inside her castle.”, says Mai. “We could always do that some other time. Come on, let’s get to training.”, says Saige. “Alright. We’ll head out to my old martial arts master then.”, says Gregory.

They leave the line and walk down the street with Gregory leading the way. “Join the cause for peace! For the people of Diamante Kingdom!”, says a random person on the street holding pamphlets. “Hey hear that?”, says Mai. They approach the person. “Hello there.”, says the pamphlet person. “Hi.”, says Mai. “Would you like to join our cause?”, the flyer person asks. “Sure, what is it?”, asks Mai. The pamphlet person explains, “Bringing peace to Diamante Kingdom’s people. Did you know, civilians of Diamante Kingdom aren’t allowed to leave the kingdom?”. “Didn’t know that.”, says Mai.

Mai gets handed a pamphlet. “Help us bring freedom to those civilians.”, says the pamphlet person. “How do you plan to do that?”, asks Gregory. “We have our ways, but we can only say them to allies of our cause. Consider joining up and we’ll see! My name is, “Tigerlily”, by the way!”, says the pamphlet person.

“Tigerlily? You can’t be seri-”, says Saige, right before getting cut off by Kelsey. “Would you call yourself heroic warriors?”. “Why of course!”, says Tigerlily. “Consider me an ally then! My name is Blue Phoenix!”, says Kelsey. “Welcome aboard Blue Phoenix!”, says Tigerlily. The two then lock hands and shake sternly. “Why do I have a bad feeling about this allyship?”, says Mai.

The group then walk off. “Well see ya!”, says Tigerlily. “See you!”, says Kelsey. “Now, time to head to my old martial artist master.”, says Gregory. The group stroll up to a shack in the city. They walk up and knock. A old male demon opens the door and speaks. “Hello there.”.
