  If you're also reading Heretical Fishing (my other fiction), you may have seen my note about my health.

  If not, I have something funky going on with my vision, and my optometrist found something that literally looks like a dungeon core wrapped in veins in the back of my eye. The imaging altered the colour, but let me tell ya, I didn't expect a bright-green anything to be hiding back there, and it has sent my healthy anxiety through the roof.

  If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

  I have to reduce eyestrain for the next week-ish until I can see a specialist, and there are also some reader-suggested changes that I wanted to change before releasing more chapters. I've decided to delay releasing more of the story until I can make the changes and my health/anxiety returns to a good place.

  Sorry for the inconvenience. I don't want to call it a hiatus, but I'm unsure of the timeline going forward.
