As the physician rushed into Na's study, me and my dad stayed at the door, just listening in to see what was going on. We hear Na expin that the crown princess forced the pills down their throats and being held against their will.

  She continued about the details behind the crown princess, forcing them to take the pills. Looking at my father with a saddened face. Hearing all the news about what the crown princess said about only her having the children and no one else. Then hearing the pns that she had become empress and so on.

  Then the st thing we hear was about how Na got hurt. My dad's expression changed completely when she says that "Not long after the crown princess hit you that Fen bragged about how the emperor punished Na."

  I shot a look at my father. "Why did you do that?"

  My father was in shock to answer the question because he was finding out the truth that is truly going on in my harem. Just as the physician left, we get announced that my dad is here, and everyone bows.

  "You may rise. Is everything all right?" my dad says?

  "She will be fine once she takes the prescription." The physician informed him.

  Cao was leaving to go fill the prescription,

  "I will take my leave first." And say.

  My father was still in shock over everything we had heard in the study's doorway. He is usually good about hiding his expressions, but this time you can tell he is upset over everything.

  "We had overheard everything you said." I say, pissed off, ready to pounce.

  "Everything will be okay now that we can fix it all. He will have a harem full of kids soon once the others take their medication." Na informed us.

  "What about your back?" As I nod.

  "I am almost completely healed," she breathes, reassuringly. There is no need to worry about me," she breathes.

  The news he had just heard still shocked the emperor.

  "We need to take our leave now, your highness." I pointed out.

  The emperor just nodded, and we headed out the door of the study.

  "I will see you ter." I say forcefully.

  She nods at me as I head out the door with my dad, seeing he is in shock. I am not aware of what to say to him because I was upset with him because he acted as if he had punished her.

  "Why did you punish her?" I ask, trying not to yell, gripping my hands on my robes.

  "She was being disrespectful to the crown princess. I did not know I had already punished her for being disrespectful." My dad says.

  We continued down the stone path, walking in pure silence, making our way to our perspective paces. As we go down the walkway, we took the path through the gardens. We just enjoyed the silence between each other, listening to the water from the pond and the birds chirping in the distance. Nothing more needed to be said between us.

  Being upset with him still for hurting her, but what can I do? He is the emperor, after all. Any harm to him is a death sentence for me and my harem. We finally reach my pace; we just nod and parted ways. Walking through my courtyard knowing that she is a target, I must protect her.

  I sit in the pagoda and think while Shuming investigates the court and my harem. As time was ticking, I can hear my stomach growl. I headed over to Na's for dinner.

  As they arrive Cao met at the gate. She was getting ready to say something, and I interrupted her.

  "Let her sleep." I say.

  Walking to the study, I see her curled up in her favorite corner with a giant pillow under her. She has a book rexing on her chest as she is sound asleep. I would not have noticed her with all the surrounding bookshelves. It is the most rexing pce I have seen so far. It is quiet and the smell of the incense is rexing.

  Deciding to lie next to her, watching over her to make sure she is safe and sound, I must have dozed off for a bit. I feel her kissing my head.

  "Why did you not tell me this had happened to you?" I say as softly as I could without sounding mad.

  Her only response was, "Don't worry about it."

  That frustrates me. She does not expect me to worry about her. I just want to shake her and tell her how much I love her, but I cannot. An's maid comes in with a letter for her watching her read it. Not going to involve myself in the harems' business.

  "Would you like to take a walk while dinner is preparing?" She asks.

  "Sure, that would be nice." I say.

  The silver reflection of the moon while walking in the garden with her hand in mine brings rexation. Looking over at her, I feel the dragon getting hard. Hearing such an annoying voice in the wind got my attention.

  Realizing it was Fen, we could not help but overhear her and the guard talking.

  "I love you so much. Once I can get pregnant by the crown prince, our lives will be so much better. I just need to become the only wife." She stated.

  Watching the guard lean in and kiss her as she was ever so excited to accept that kiss, I was feeling a little pissed off. Na leaned into me and whispered, "Cool down, me and you mom are investigating her, and will get more this. We think will be better for us in the court."

  She grabbed my hand to lead me away from the situation. Walking further into the garden, she turns into me.

  She gnces at me. "dinner should be done by now."

  Heading back, we noticed Cao was setting the table for us as we were sitting down. She looks at me.

  "Where is Shuming these days? I am sure Cao is missing him." She says.

  I look over at Cao and she is blushing now.

  "She is coming of age. It is almost time for her to get married. She worked for your mom for so long before she came over to me," Na says.

  "My dy, how can I leave now? We have just started." Cao asks.

  "All right, I will drop it for now." Na tells her.

  Sitting there quietly, I could not help but be mad over what I saw. Even though there is nothing between us, she is still my legal wife. Not wanting to do anything but sleep next to her. Just to feel her next to me was enough for me.

  Seeing that she looked upset and needs to heal, I also do not want to hurt her physically. The morning arrived so quickly. Kissing her goodbye, not knowing when the next time is going to be. Knowing that I am swamped with investigations with the tax situations and Fen, how she is getting information to my father.

  There is so much to get done, but not enough time to get this done. Knowing she might get mad over the fact that I cannot always be there with her, I will try my best to see her. She is going to be upset, but that the part of being crown prince can not help. It is a hard job.
