Approaching me is a woman in a green cloak and a green pointed witch's hat, Lilia Greene.
“I’ll be the one directing your test. Please come with me.”
I suppose it's time for my battle then.
Lilia Greene was the only one I didn’t encounter during the first test.
I saw her at the end fighting monsters with Follis Darwin, but I never interacted with her during the first test.
Does she know that it was me who released them?
If so, my match might be rigged from the start.
Not like it matters, though.
The only one who needs to pass is Marin.
Finally, we reach the arena.
That's my opponent?
This may be quite the blessing.
This will be the first fight in this world where I get to have fun!
Lilia Greene holds her hand out between my opponents and me.
“Rentaro Sasajima VS Haiter Vilt and Loen Silivius.”
Oh yes!
This is the part where I humiliate him.
Later, he will be used by some villain, probably a demon, and try to get revenge on me.
This is a trope I must enact!
Lilia retracts her arm and takes a step back.
“Begin!”
I activate
He pulls out his sword and attempts to parry the attack, but I close in.
Loen tries to intercept me, but I slide underneath his blade and make my way to Haiter.
From the ground, I use my hands to push myself up into a kick, but he blocks it with his sword.
Doesn’t matter if he blocked it.
It would have been nice if the kick landed, but I planned on it not landing.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
I kick off his sword and leap into the air, and fire five miniature ice javelins, ice shot.
They all hit and stun Haiter.
Once I land, Loen attempts a swing at me with his sword, but I duck down, and his swing moves right over my head.
Once it's passed, I drop lower and bring my leg up and land a kick to the side of his head with my heel.
Then, using his face as a springboard, I charge at Haiter.
I charge straight at him and stay right in his line of attack.
He brings his sword down on me, but I stop him by grabbing his hand and sliding at his feet.
He hits his head on the ground hard and falls on his back.
He is out cold.
I pick him up and walk to the edge of the arena before throwing him off the side.
He may be knocked out, but if he wakes up before I'm done, it’ll go back to a 1v2.
This is just me making sure he can interrupt me.
Behind me, Loen stumbles to his feet, blood dripping from his broken nose after I used it as a springboard.
He swings down at my back, but I dodge by spinning around his right side and deliver a punch to the back of his head.
However, that doesn’t do him in.
He turns around and gives another overhead swing.
He has no skill at all.
I parry his sword bare-handed with my left hand and deliver an uppercut to his chin with my right.
With that attack, his grip on his sword weakens, and I move my hand down his blade to his handle and snatch it right from his grasp.
I take the sword and wind it back like a baseball bat; just as he recovers from my uppercut, I swing the sword and hit him right in the side of the head with the blunt side as hard as I can.
At the impact, I hear two cracks, one can be seen right on the sword, and the other I can assume is his skull.
Talk about a homerun!
Oh, you so deserve this.
You sent bandits after us!
You tried to kill Marin!
I’ve confirmed that the tropes in Isekai are real here.
YOU sent bandits to kill Marin.
I will make you pay.
After I hit him, he collapsed to the ground.
I don’t know how, but he’s still conscious; the way his eyes glare at me tells me that there is thought behind them.
I take a step back.
I take a long, deep breath.
I leap forward, wind up my right leg, and kick with all my might.
My kick lands right on his groin.
So does my second.
And my third.
My fourth actually hits him in his face.
The fifth is more like a stomp that lands on his crotch.
The sixth is me swinging the sword at his genitalia; however, I'm stopped by Lilia Greene before the blade can make contact.
Apparently, she ended the round by the second kick.
Guess I was a little too heated.
Marin is looking at me with an expression of exalt.
She must really not like her brother.
Totally reasonable, he is a bastard.
Rei, however, looks totally mortified, like she's a cat about to get sprayed with water.
As I'm escorted off the stage, I can still see Loen groaning in the center of the arena.
If this world had cameras, I would take a picture of this glorious sight.
No, a video of the whole fight.
I would watch it every day and show everyone I meet the video twice over.
And if he ever gets married, I’ll break into the wedding(Because I obviously won’t be invited) and play it there for everyone to see.
Am I not acting very hero-like?
Well, officially, I'm not the hero.
The announcement hasn’t been made public, and even if I fail the test for not acting hero-like, it doesn't matter.
I’ll be fine as long as Marin passes.
“That was a bit much, was it not?”
“It was a bit much, but it was entirely justified.”
The look on Lilia Greene’s face is one of great concern.
I’m never beating those demon allegations.
Once I reach Marin and Rei, Marin gives me a beaming smile and even a high five.
She must really, reaaaallllly not like her brother.
“Why did you have to hit him… there?”
Her voice has a hint of sympathy, like she's felt the pain before.
“The groin is a weak spot for any person, especially males.”
Listen up, boys and girls!
If you're ever attacked by a male remember this: it only takes ten pounds of force to rip it off.
And don’t hesitate to do so, your life is far more important than their genitals.
And now I don't have anything to do.
There are still three more rounds in the second test before the third test.
Guess I’ll just have to sit tight till then.
