**Volume 2: Upper World**
**Chapter 102: I Won’t Lose (Arc: Beginning of the End)**
July 4th, 12:31 a.m. – Shinjuku (Ray’s Realm Collapse Zone)
Jason sprinted straight for the invisible box — sandals kicking up dust and broken glass, dark blue-pink aura flickering wild around him. Sky and Max were inside — trapped, suffocating slow, faces pressed against the shimmering walls, blood smearing the inside from their wounds.
Jason reached it — fists clenched — started punching.
The first hit rang out like metal on metal. Then another. Then ten — twenty — thirty. Cracks spiderwebbed across the cube’s surface — black fractures glowing faint purple. The box shook — Max and Sky inside flinched with every impact.
Three cracks became twenty.
Jason didn’t stop — knuckles bleeding, healing, bleeding again — screaming through gritted teeth.
Then Ray appeared behind him — calm, purple aura steady.
Ray kicked — boot to Jason’s back — Jason flew forward — slammed into the realm wall. The obsidian surface cracked on impact — blood rivers splashed upward — Jason hit the ground hard, rolling through shallow water.
Ray stood over him — voice low.
“You disappoint me.”
Jason pushed up — slow — blood dripping from his mouth — eyes burning.
He moved fast — blurred — punched Ray square in the chest. Ray staggered back one step — then Jason grabbed him — slammed him against the realm wall — and drove **Azure Flash** into Ray’s stomach at full force. The impact echoed — shockwave rippling the blood rivers — Ray coughed once — purple aura flickering.

Jason didn’t stop — kicked Ray’s face — boot connecting clean — Ray’s head snapped back — blood spraying from his nose.
Ray looked at Jason — eyes narrowing — voice calm but edged.
“I saved you. This is how you repay me?”
Ray stood — hands together — one holding the other — purple energy coiling like lightning.
**Maximum Technique: All Out Beam.**
A beam of pure purple will energy erupted — wide, blinding — aimed straight for Jason.
Jason blurred — dodged — beam grazing his shoulder — burning skin — but he didn’t get hit full. He dashed back — looked at the box.
Sky and Max were fading — oxygen thinning — faces pale, hands sliding down the walls.
Jason clenched his fists — aura flaring brighter — pink bleeding into blue.
He knew if he ended his realm now — he’d die. The Framework was keeping him alive — pushing his regen beyond limits.
But he saw it.
He had a heart.
Something he hadn’t felt in a long time.
Jason clapped — once — sharp.
**The Framework** collapsed — fps snapping back to normal — realm dissolving into nothing.
Jane didn’t wait.
He moved fast — grabbed Jason by the throat — threw him hard into a nearby house. The building groaned — walls caving — roof collapsing — a dog barked inside, scared and loud.
Jane stepped forward — core scar pulsing — black-red energy flaring — about to kill the dog.
Jason took the hit instead — jumped in front — Jane’s slash cut across his chest — deep, almost fatal — blood pouring — Jason fell to his knees.
Outside — the real Shinjuku — Sky and Max stumbled out of the collapsing box — coughing, gasping — looking around.
Hiro, Aoi, and Taka were nearby — running toward them — Hiro’s golden glow already flaring to heal. Lola nowhere in sight — lost in the chaos.
Over 5,000 people dead — bodies scattered — streets red with blood — screams still echoing.
Aoi opened a portal — small, flickering — into the invisible box’s remnants.
Max looked at Sky — eyes soft, tears in them.
“You got this.”
Sky’s voice cracked — about to cry.
They hugged — one last time — tight, desperate — brothers who’d lost everything but each other.
Sky stepped through the portal — out — into the real world.
Ray looked up — laughed — low, rolling.
Taka ran forward — sword in hand — started fighting Ray.
Taka slashed — blade ringing — cut Ray’s arm clean off. Ray healed — arm regrowing — purple energy flaring.
Taka stabbed — sword through Ray’s head — swung on it — kicked Ray’s head hard. Ray flew — landed on sharp wood — impaled through the chest.
Ray got up — wood snapping — mad now — eyes glowing violent purple.
He moved fast — trapped everyone — Hiro, Aoi, Taka, Lola (who appeared from the smoke) — all caught in a purple net of will energy.
Then Ray clapped — both hands.
**Realm of the Gods.**
The world warped again — obsidian mountains rising, blood rivers flowing, purple lightning cracking overhead.
Sky stood outside — looking in — wondering if he could do anything.
But he couldn’t think — couldn’t move — just stared.
Jason got up — healed — chest wound closing slow — dark blue-pink aura steadying.
He looked at Ray — then Jane — still in the house ruins.
Jason smiled — small, tired.
“I won’t lose.”
For them.
For me.
For my mom.
Jane and Jason were still in the house — Ray outside in the realm — everyone else trapped.
The chapter ended.
To be continued…
