In 1945, Egyptian farmers uncovered an ancient urn in Nag Hammadi. Inside, they found (fact not fiction) Gnostic scriptures — later known as the Nag Hammadi Codices. These texts, now preserved in museums, tell a forbidden version of the Adam and Eve story. In it, Eve is the heroine, the serpent is the teacher, and humanity is urged to eat from the Tree of Knowledge to awaken a god yet to be revealed.
