Shi-Woo, who is called Nexus now, materialised in Royal Road still screaming, earning him the general hate of every person in the vicinity. After getting past the general embarrassment of screaming like a girl at the moment he materialise, he finally started to appreciate the realism of Royal Road.
His five sense where fully immersed in the Royal Road. Every building, every path, was…real. He was amazed. However, that only lasted for one moment before Nexus remember what he was suppose to do.

“What the…?” +10 to all stats? Wow, it is such a good effect. Looks like exploring the avatar creation room was a good thing. Now, lets see what Holy Blade is.

A sword, comparable to a gladius, appeared in his hand. Nexus, looking on in fascination, bought the sword closer to him, till it is almost touching his face. He examining the sword with care and noticed something engrave in the bottom of the sword, barely distinguishable.

Why isn’t it translated? Royal Road, said to have a universal translation system, should have displayed it in English. It is almost as if it is a language that…does not exist…
Before he could further examine the sword, it disappeared in a flash. Oh right…my mana is not enough to sustain it for long. Wait, what is this?

Priest Avalon, High Priest of Freya, was going on his morning walk. Famous amongst players as an horrible NPC, he was avoided as he walk along the streets. It suited him fine, as he enjoyed the peace, free from those Freeman. Occasionally a Freeman, unknown to this parts, would come to him, hoping to gain favour with the Church of Freya by flattering him. They are quickly dissuaded though, by his ridiculous demands, which he made on purpose. To those, he blacklisted them within the Church of Freya, lowering their reputation with Church of Freya.
However, today, along his walk, he saw something special. A young man, along the Fountain of Rebirth, was staring intently at a certain sword. He was surrounded by a barely noticeable of holy aura.
Bingo!
He suddenly remember a conversation he had with the Pope about getting a new recruit for the church. New “recruit” as in a slave for the Church. And he just got the perfect target.

Of course Nexus had no idea what was about to happen to him. He was still trying to decipher what Ricabius Lia Frestis mean. He raise his head to look at Priest Avalon when he notice a red outline around Avalon.
Oh shit…I somehow get a bad feeling about this guy. And his smile…
He tried to retreat, but just when he was about to move, Avalon was right in front of him.
“Dear Brother, I am Avalon, the High Priest of Freya in Vaticius city. I have a request for you. Would you accept?” Avalon grin broadly at Nexus.
Damn…is that even a request? He is making it obvious that I don’t have a choice…

“Looks like Old Avalon got another victim…what do you think, Tyle?”
Tyle did not respond.

Tyle also felt into the same trap. He was recruited into the Church of Freya two weeks ago. At first, he thought he had a good opportunity as getting close to the Church of Freya takes huge amounts of effort. It was only until he entered the Church he realised he felt into a trap.
“Look like Avalon manage to convince him. Tyle, it looks like you will be getting a new friend soon!”

Nexus followed Avalon back to the Church of Freya after accepting the request. Well, it was technically accept. He had, in some of Royal Road forums, heard about Avalon’s “reputation”. Therefore, it is best for him to just play along for now. He can always wait for a chance to escape.
“Welcome to the Church of Freya, the most beautiful church out of all churches. We have Churches in almost every city, with the latest one being the Church in Morata. Now, before you enter as our recruit, you need to undergo a test.”
“A test?”
“Yes. Only those pure of heart may enter our Church’s ranks. Rest assured, it is just a simple test.”
Saying that, Avalon lead Nexus to a long corridor, decorated by strange sigils and seals, all coloured by a red outline in Nexus’s vision.
This is definitely very bad…all my sense tell me that this is one huge fucking trap…
“This is the Hall of the Pure-hearted. Only those without ill-intent can pass through.”
In fact, the passage can be passed through by anyone whom is affiliated with the Church of Freya and has a Good Alignment. However, being unable to pass through simply means that one is not a member of the Church of Freya. Yet, there is also another reason one may not be able to pass through the passage. The other reason is that the person is of the Evil alignment. As such, the rule which states that “Any person suspected of Evil can be detained and undergo repentance, as per discretion of the High Priest” can be used.
Of course, Nexus does not know that. So, he walked through the passage.
Heh…I would just wait till he gets stuck in the first barrier. Then, I can get him under the rule
With each step Nexus take, he felt the Feather of the Goddess, now equipped as a accessory, getting warmer and warmer. He, also, with his keen senses, felt a slight impedance in his movement with each step. Not thinking much of it, he walked all the way through the passage.
How the fuck… wait… I must not show any expression…
“Congratulations, looks like you are indeed fair of heart. I hereby welcome you to the as an acolyte to the Church of Freya.” Avalon said, smiling as brightly as he could under the situation.
I can always find some way to make his life difficult. But how did he get past the barriers in the first place? I must investigate.

Wow…the first part was not really good but the second part… just wow. A +100 reputation boost and some form of secret…how could I not accept.
“Yes! I accept your invitation. I shall serve Freya with all my heart!”

Saying that, Shin Hyun-Woo, Chief Administrator of Royal Road, looked on at the screen, laughing silently. He personally designed the Church of Freya by himself, and knows best what Church of Freya is. And what a Acolyte really is.
Oh…I am so going to enjoy his expression when he finds out.
