  Chapter 20: She Apologized.

  (Celia’s POV)

Faith: “Celia, that was actually just a stretch. Prior to many years ago, I was sure that Sava would have killed you if she knew that I was alive, and in your soul.” She clarified.

Celia: “Oh, that makes more sense.” I replied with a nod.

Faith: “Right! But after spending those years where we rested in Heaven, I realized that Sava wouldn’t kill you. She truly does see you as her daughter, and that woman is very partial to her family.” She added.

Celia: “So… you just decided to keep up the lie for… up until now?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Faith: “I was planning on revealing the truth, though only once the game ended. I just wanted it to be funny, but with Vanessa here, she’d absolutely reveal the truth to you.” She explained.

Hm… Well, at least she had a good reason to carry the lie on for longer. Huh? That’s not a good reason? To me, it very much is. After all, making jokes is fun, and joke setups that last for hundreds of years are… even spicier! I kinda feel bad for Faith, as the joke was spoiled by Vanessa like this…

Vanessa: “Now that I understand this… I get why we ended up meeting each other. Celia, do now that, if you ever need help, I will come to your aid.” She swore with a smile.

Celia: “You care about Sava and Faith that much? Ah, and your daughter as well.” I reply with a head tilt.

Vanessa: “We Higher Beings tend to… have connections with each other. Sava, prior to Faith dying, was a good sex friend to me. In truth, I wished to marry her, but the trauma from her daughter dying… dash any hopes of that.” She replied with a sigh.

Celia: “Sava is much better now, you should honestly try and seduce her. Her revenge was left to me, and she doesn’t think about it much these days.” I suggest with a warm tone.

Far as I am aware, after Sava became my family, the Will stopped messing with her entirely. Though, in her mind, the Will of our universe had killed her daughter, Sava’s grudge was let go. Once I took it over from her, that is.

Vanessa: “Perhaps I will… Anyway, you should go find the actual fated spouse to that woman.” She replied with a giggle.

Celia: “What about you? You aren’t actually a player of this game…” I ask with a curious tone.

Vanessa: “I am having fun roleplaying in this world, so don’t mind me. On top of that, becoming a player isn’t easy.” She answered.

Faith: “Celia, Vanessa is very, very old. As such, she likes to destroy her body, and then reincarnates into new lives from time to time. She keeps all her power as well!” She informed.

Celia: “Does she? I guess that is one way to stave off insanity…” I reply with a thinking pose.

I dwelled on Faith’s information for a few minutes, but then my attention ended up somewhere else… Vanessa isn’t aware that I can easily make her a player. Ah! Now I can get this ridiculously long lived woman to show me an amazing reaction!!!
