Chapter 22: Back on Track!
(Celia’s POV)
With Vanessa no longer pulling the wool over the red string’s head, it finally pointed me in the (hopefully) correct direction. The words from that woman were… somewhat still in my mind.
But, in truth, her words will not become a problem for millions upon millions of years from now. And on top of that, it will mainly be my wives problem, and not mine, teehee!
With this thinking, I soon learned to push Vanessa’s proposition deep into the back of my mind. After all, I have far more important things to do right now… That is, matchmaking!!!
Faith: “This time, let’s just hope that this woman is actually fit for Ino’s tastes…” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “How could they not be? The string is leading directly to her, and rarely are fated people end up not matching.” I replied with a head tilt.
Faith: “Eh, you never know…” She replied with an ominous tone.
Celia: “…”
This time, I knew for sure that Faith was just messing with me. But, wait a minute… She… wasn’t Faith aware that I was tricked by Vanessa? If so, why did she allow me to meet her, when it leaves a problem for Faith in the far distant future?
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Celia: “Hey… why did you let me meet Vanessa?” I ask with a curious tone.
Faith: “I want her and my mother to get together. After you became her daughter, a majority of Sava’s mental issues, as well as grudges, vanished. Now, she just needs a wife to live with.” She answered in reply.
Celia: “Doesn’t that… kinda fail now that she wants me?” I reply with a raised eyebrow.
Faith: “Unfortunately, it does, just somewhat, though. But, like you, Vanessa is probably fine with having more than one wife. For now, she’ll go after Sava, and then after you in your next life.” She explained.
Celia: “You make it sound like you’re absolutely okay with her stealing me away…” I reply with a sad tone.
Faith: “Oh, it isn’t okay in the least! Vanessa is most likely the strongest being in existence… Hopefully, after she shacks up with my mother, Vanessa will be more willing to share you with us.” She replied with an unsure tone.
Now that I talked this out with her, I realize that Faith was very much not expecting that woman to fall for me. This time, it wasn’t just me being attractive, either. Though respecting my decision to not be with her in this life, I still felt that… strong connection with her.
The same kind of connection that I feel with my wives. In a sense, Vanessa is another destined wife of mine. The difference is that she won’t be my wife in this life. Only in the next one… will Vanessa be able to put a pretty ring on my cute finger!
Speaking of which… once this game is over, I truly need to get married to all of my wives! Enough of this, “saying that we’re married.” but not actually married bullshit! I need… no, I want them to all marry me. Ah, I wonder how cute that they’ll all look in their wedding dresses…
