Chapter 23: Angry Daughter!!!
(Maralia’s POV)
Maralia: “Not only do you want her mother… but you also want Celia’s hand in marriage?” I ask with a furious tone.
Vanessa: “That’s right. Both are fit for me as wives. Sava was… I thought that she’d be my only wife, but Celia is also destined for me as well.” She replied with an unbothered, happy even tone.
Maralia: “You can’t have them both! Sava won’t accept you taking Celia away from us…” I reply with my arms crossed.
Shortly after Celia left my Mother’s room, I appeared in it. This woman had revealed Celia’s soon demise, and on top of that, now she wishes for my wife’s hand in marriage as well? What bullshit! Sava could convince her not to do such a thing…
Vanessa: “You’re free to stop me if you can, dear. But, with only less than 5,000 years in her life remaining, can you really get stronger than me in that time?” She replied with a raised eyebrow.
Maralia: “…”
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Vanessa: “As far as I am aware, or rather, knowing you, you’ve probably spent this entire time just monitoring Celia and the game. As such, you haven’t even attempted to get more powerful.” She added with a laugh.
I truly wanted to refute her words, but my Mother was absolutely correct. I hadn’t gotten any stronger since meeting Celia. And… getting stronger than Vanessa? Absolutely impossible.
Even if she is my Mother, I would kill her for this. But, unfortunately for me, Vanessa is literally the strongest being in existence. Gaining more power than her… would be extremely hard, and requires hundreds of years of just getting stronger.
And even then, I have already reached my level cap for this race. Because of that, I actually cannot get any stronger… Her words were basically just putting me in my place.
Vanessa: “No need to look so sad… I won’t touch her until Celia’s next life. And, if you all manage to get her to live longer, I will stay true to this agreement.” She said with a coaxing tone.
Maralia: “Mom…” Tears welled up in my eyes.
Vanessa: “You truly love her, huh? I have never seen you cry before… Will you allow me to be a mother, and save your wife for you?” She suggested while rubbing my head.
Maralia: “…No. This is something that Faith will handle, you don’t need to dirty your hands.” I denied.
Vanessa: “That silly girl? It is amazing how being with Celia… really made that woman mature insanely fast.” She replied with a hearty laugh.
Maralia: “Was she really that bad? My interactions with Faith have all been very pleasant…” I replied with a confused tone.
Oddly, I came here to pick a fight, but instead, we ended up just talking for hours on end. Truly, I seemed to have missed being able to talk to this adventurous woman. I didn’t realize that I was such a mommy’s girl…
