Volume 7. Chapter 33: At Least the Slime Tasted Good. (Chapter 634.)

Chapter 33: At Least the Slime Tasted Good.

  (Celia’s POV)

At one point of my life, I was very proud of that list, which was full of my Skills and Upgrades. But now… I cannot even bring myself to look at it for more than a few seconds.

The page was now huge, and it took literally five minutes to scroll through it all. From this, I realize why I hadn’t had any Skills and Upgrades for so long. Faith was just buying them for me…

Faith: “Congratutions! You’re now one of the 50 beings in existence, who have gotten all Skills and Upgrades!” She praised with much fan-fair.

  Celia: “…”

Faith: “If you’re curious, I got the st few Skills and Upgrades an hour prior to you killing the Slime God. After all, I wanted to get a good reaction out of you, and this very much worked out in my favor!” She admitted with a giggle.

This woman, I swear… Why is she always in the mood for pranking people? Whatever… I just have to ignore the searing desire to burn her Slime Corpse Steak in retaliation…

  An Hour Later.

Now that the Slime God was cooked to perfection, I cut a piece off for myself, and then stored the rest for Faith to eat. Of course, I made sure to prepare the Slime God fully, in properly cut portions. Faith wasn’t going to have to eat pieces off of it.

  Faith: “…”

  Celia: “…”

Silence was evident between the two of us. This Slime God… it tasted so damn amazing! Like, it was simir to candy, but also like steak? It is so weird, so hard to expin, but holy hell… it was impossible to not just silently eat it!

  Lots of Savoring Later.

In silence once more, Faith and I were in deep contemption. In just the span of… we didn’t count how long, we had eaten the Slime God’s prepared corpse completely. Now, we had a major problem on our hands…

Faith: “We truly failed…” She said with a grim tone.

Celia: “Perhaps I can convince Maralia to help me go back in time?” I proposed.

Faith: “Just for food? Highly unlikely.” She denied.

  Celia: “Darn…” I replied with a pout.

We had discussed our failure as such: Rather than kill the Slime God, we should have kept him alive, and bred more Slimes of that size. Why? Because… that Slime God was literally the most tasty meal that we have ever had in our entire lives.

Faith: “Welp… we probably won’t ever encounter such a monster for a long time, so I guess that we’ll just have to eat this loss.” She expressed with a sigh.

Celia: “Didn’t we already eat it, though?” I jokingly replied.

Faith: “Hey… don’t pour salt into our still open wounds! Losing this amazing source of food will… scar me for all of existence, I am sure.” She scolded in reply and also ended her sentence with a sad tone.

And, yeah, that was it. Now that the Slime God was dead, and that we ate all of him that was remaining, it was very unlikely that we’d ever find a Slime like him again. Fuck… out of my entire life, this loss… might be the most painful!…
