Chapter 49

Aros stands in Master Shik’wa’s backyard, holding up Mai by the collar, as Gregory, Master Shik’wa, Kelsey and Saige look onward.

“Mai! You bastard! Who are you!?”, says Saige, as he grows horns. “I just said his name! That’s Aros! One of the Upper Four and son of Azrael!”, says Master Shik’wa. “Oh you know me, for sure.”, says Aros. Kelsey runs up to attack and just gets spin kicked back. “Kelsey! Stay back from him! I’ll deal with him!”, shouts Saige. Saige finishes growing horns and a tail. “You son of a-!”, shouts Saige, right before he’s cut off.

“Watch it now, you don’t want me to kill her now, or maybe you do.”, says Aros. Saige pauses in one place with bloodshot eyes. “N-No Saige.. you need to get.. him.”, says Mai. “So what are you here for, to fight or to stand around!?”, asks Saige. Aros frowns.

“I came here to talk after I kill your friends.”, says Aros. Aros goes to snap her neck, but then gets shot by a laser and drops Mai. “What in the-...”, says Aros, right before getting shot up more by laser shots. He then notices It came from Master Shik’wa’s one finger. “Saige, you secure Mai. I’ll...”, says Master Shik’wa, as he gets cut off by Saige. “Don’t have to tell me more!”, says Saige. Saige then runs over to Mai and grabs her and gets her over to Gregory.

“Now comes the time where I kick your ass!”, says Saige as he jumps into battle and bashes into Aros. The two are just sent flying into the sky. “I’ll assist Saige. You three secure yourselves inside.”, says Master Shik’wa. “Got it.”, says Gregory.

Meanwhile, Saige and Aros land in a street intersection. Saige is ontop of Aros and about to punch down on him. Aros catches the punch and burns Saige’s arm. Saige pulls back, then Aros grabs Saige by the face and pushes off the ground with his wings and flies upward. Saige tries scratching him in mid-flight. Aros throws him downward and Saige launches down to the ground below, creating a small crater. Aros then flies down and lands across from him.

“Brother, stop this bafoonery.”, says Aros. “Who you calling brother, you bastard!?”, shouts Saige. “You of course, now...”, says Saige, as he gets cut off from Saige suddenly charging toward him. Aros dodges Saige and knees Saige in the stomach. “Kah!?”, says Saige, as he coughs up air. Then Aros spin kicks Saige back. Aros continues to talk, “I wasn’t done talking, now why do you live with these humans? Don’t you realize how weaker they are then you? Do you not recognize you have the superior genes?”. “I’m not gonna hear this!”, says Saige.

Saige runs in again to attack, and slashes at Aros, but Aros dodges two blows easily, then backhands Saige in the face, and sends him flying. Aros then sprints over and lands on Saige, creating another crater. “If you won’t listen to me, then I’ll immobilize you, so you have no choice, but to listen.”, says Aros. Aros, while holding Saige by the hands, twists his arms. “AAAHHH!!”, screams Saige.

“Good, now then listen brother, I didn’t want to do this, but you forced me to. Why do you join in this crusade to hunt down father? You do realize how much it irritates him.”, says Aros. “The hell? Why are you talking to me, like we’re brothers?”, says Saige. “Cause you are my brother! Do you not know?”, says Aros. “N-No.”, says Saige. “Well...”, says Aros, right before getting cut off by Saige kicking him in the nuts. Aros then falls over.

Saige stands up, with his arms still broken. “Well that’s one way to get you off of me.”, says Saige. People are gathered up around them, using phones to take pictures. “That was not very nice.”, says Aros as he stands back up holding his crotch. Police then show up and start pushing people back to secure the area.

“You’re making me mad, brother. And you wouldn’t like me when I’m mad.”, says Aros as he grows a fiery aura. “I was suggesting you join our side!”, says Aros. “Join you!? And why the hell would I do that!?”, asks Saige. “Cause we are family, brother!”, says Aros. “The hell are you talking about!?”, yells Saige. As this goes on, Master Shik’wa cuts through the police barrier. “Hey!”, shouts one of the officers. Master Shik’wa runs over to Saige. “Saige, there you are!”, says Master Shik’wa. “Oh, Shik’wa! Hey!”, says Saige. “Shik’wa? You used to be a former Demon General. What are you doing here laying low in Emerald Kingdom?”, asks Aros. “You used to be a Demon General?”, asks Saige. “I’m an ex-Demon General now.”, says Master Shik’wa.

“Oh yeah, by the way Shik’wa, this guy talks weird. He calls his opponents, “brother”, alot.”, says Saige. “That is.. strange.”, says Master Shik’wa. “That’s because...! Oh forget it, I’m going to beat you senseless!!”, shouts Aros.

Aros then shouts out as he charges at Saige, head on, and grabs him by the mouth and slams him through buildings, then tosses him back to the groundfloor. “Saige, you need to get up!”, says Master Shik’wa. Aros then smashes down on Saige with both feet and smashes two fists into his body. “GAH!”, shouts Saige. “Aros, you’re going to kill him! Don’t!”, says Master Shik’wa. “What does it matter anyway!? Why would father want to keep you alive!?”, shouts Aros. Aros then tosses Saige into another building and grabs his head, then screeches his head across a building walling. “AAAAAAAH!!”, shouts Saige.

Aros flies Saige up then launches him back to the groundfloor, creating a crater. Aros then charges a ball of fire in his hand, over his own head, and it grows to the size of a house. “Goodbye brother! You insignificant...”, just as Aros is talking, Renkuro appears in front of Aros, holding his arm. “Renkuro!?”, says Aros. “That’s enough! It’s time to return!”, says Renkuro. Aros goes silent. “Aros, this is not what Azrael told you to do! You know how pissed he’ll be at you!?”, says Renkuro. Aros then shrinks the ball of fire. “Fine.”, says Aros.

“We’re going home. You’ve already caused enough attention for one day.”, says Renkuro. “Very well, let us leave.”, says Aros. The two then disappear. Master Shik’wa just looks back at Saige, unconscious in a crater.

Later on, Saige finds himself resting in a bed as Master Shikwa, Gregory, Kelsey and Mai are beside him. “He should be able to heal himself, but Aros really gave him a beating.”, says Master Shik’wa. “Nnnng”, says Saige as he awakens. “Saige, don’t move too much.”, says Gregory. “I’ve been.. thinking.. Aros kept calling me.. “brother”, for some weird reason.”, says Saige, still weakened. “That...”, says Gregory. Gregory then sighs. “What, what is it?”, asks Mai. “What is it Greg?”, asks Saige. “I feel like.. I should stop hiding it from you. There’s a chance your real father... is Azrael.” says Gregory. Saige widens his eyes. “He couldn’t be my dad...”, says Saige, before he’s gets cut off. “No one knows who your real dad is. Father Terrance made up the lie about your father going to war. All we know is who your mother was, and that she died giving birth to you.”, says Gregory.

“Noo. No! It can’t be true! Azrael can’t be...”, says Saige. “It explains your powers, and how you’d share the same ability as Aros. And why he called you brother.”, says Gregory. Saige just lays there, absolutely devastated. “I’m sorry Saige.”, says Gregory.
