Yuno and Langris faced Zenon Zogratis who had attacked the Golden Dawn Base and kidnapped Williams Vangence.
Zenon gnced behind and was a little surprised to see the two of them.
'Hmm... so the rat who snuside is not from the resistance.'
He raised an eyebrow and asked. "You!... How are you still alive?"
His question was directed at Yuno since he had nded a solid blow on Yuno in their initial enter at the cost of a heavy wound from the oppo.
Yuno's face was cold and he replied. "Through the spell of Captain Vangence. We are here to take him back. After we take you down."
Yuno instantly unched a powerful tornado at Zenon who easily blocked the attack with his Bone Magic.
Zenon used 20% of his devil powers and trolled the Langris's spatial magic spells, dispelling them on the spot.
After his fight with Alex in the Royal Knight Exam, Langris was feeling pressure for the first time, causing his forehead to be covered with a yer of sweat.
Yuno did not spare any more time aered into his Spirit Dive state.
'Spirit Dive: Spirit of Boreas'
In that stare, Yuno shaped a halberd out of the densed wind.
Just a simple swing of it shattered and disied the devil-reinforced Bone Magic.
Zenon who was calm showed an unbelievable expression, staring at Yuno in shock. He could feel all the mana in the surroundings, he had lost trol of it as Yuno could trol it.
Taking advantage of Zenon's shock, Yuno moved in front of him in the blink of an eye and swung his halberd.
Zenon instinctively used his Bone Magic to shield himself but Yuno's attack pierced through and drilled a big wound on Zenon's chest.
"I am the man who wants to bee the Magic Emperor. You said something about two of us dying without taking a step, right? You are talking to the wrong guy." Yuno decred coldly.
Langris could not help but grumble. "I swear... you are a lethally poor loser."
Iher hall of the castle
Charlotte and Rill were fag Vanica Zogratis.
Ign Rill and tearing away what was left of her vine gaus, Charlotte closed her eyes and calmed her beati.
"Ha? What's this? Don't tell me that was enough to deter you. Ahh~... well it's not like I expect much from [Briar Magic]." Vanica mocked her.
"Charlotte..." Rill called out to his fellotain worriedly.
Seeing her fall silent, Vanica took it as an invitation to tinue mog the clover captain.
"Urgh, You both are nothing. I don't even know what you thought you could aplish by ing her-"
Charlotte had enough and she said in a cold tone. "You talk a lot."
"...What?" Not expeg Charlotte to suddenly cut her off, Vanica was momentarily at a loss for words.
Looking on the ground and at the burning vines, Charlotte's voice seemed to echo out.
"You're right. In the face of the ridiagi this world, [Briar Magic] might not be worth anything. But!..."
Charlotte bursted out with an insane amount of nature's mana. A rge magic circle formed on the ground of the training room with Charlotte as its ter.
"I wasn't sitting around doing nothing for the past year! After training in the Heart Kingdom and reag the extreme state of mahod, I finally uand how to use this cursed magiine!" Charlotte tio speak.
Vanica tilted her head and muttered. "Huh? What the hell are you talking about?"
Charlotte grinned. "Hah. Yeah, I guess you wouldn't get it unless I spell it out for you."
Staring her dead in the eye, the mana c through the magic circle began to pulse like a beati.
"That devil you host, the inator of all curses, it thanks to her that I was able to bee..."
Suddenly, a burst of light exploded out of the magic circle!
"SO MUCH STRONGER!!" She decred proudly.
'Mahod Briar Magic: Blue Rose Paradise'
BOOM!!
Feeling the rge amount of mana bursting out from the magic circle, Rill couldn't help but ugh and stand in awe as a tless number of briars covered the training room.
'After being nurtured by the high-quality nd and water in the mana-rich Heart Kingdom, this is the result.'
"This... What is this!" Vanica shook, feeling a familiar sensation in Charlotte's spell. "Why do I sehe power of a curse in yic!"
Coiling around the legs of the two cursed generals, Vanica watched in shock as the curses emp them slowly weakened.
No, it wasn't just that the curses were getting weaker, the vines were getting stronger and causing the buds oo bloom into blue-colored roses.
'These vines... They're abs the curse's power.'
Vanica was shocked to learn that.
"Ha...Ha...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! HOW FUN, HOW FUN, HOW FUUUN!! You modified the curse on yourself and tur into an anti-curse spell! How Fasating!"
Ripping the eyepatch off and revealing her devil's eye. Megicu's voice mixed in with Vanica's voice.
"To Think There was someone capable of doing something like that."
"More...I WANT TO SEE EVEN MORE!!"
Going straight to 70% of her devil's power, Vanica's lips curved upwards as she extended her wings and rushed toward Charlotte.
Standing proud and watg the crazed devil host approach her, a cold look settled on the face of the captain of the Blue Rose squad.
Watg as the blue rose-coated viangled up the two generals, she released a breath.
"This is my current blue rose... And this..."
Suddenly, the blue roses trapping the two generals turned red.
"IS MY RIGHTFUL RED ROSE!"
SLAAASH!!
The moment those roses turned red, the vines holding them became hostile and attacked them with an almost animalistic-like ferocity.
"AHAHAHAHA! NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! BUT FOE!!" Megicu ughed wildly.
"My blue rose restrains and weakens while my red rose strikes aroys. Right now..."
The Rune Arrays began to verge around Charlotte as she finished her sentence. "Both roses are mio trol."
'True Briar Magic: Queen Of Briars!'
Using true magia real roses, a dress, and a ade of briars formed over her spade raid outfit. With blue roses ad the right side and red roses on the left, she no longer o suppress that wicked curse power that had pgued her for so long.
And for the first time in her life, she was able to fight at full power.
Watg all this take pce from the sidelines, Rill was gobsmacked at the realization that if this was Charlotte's true power, it meant that she had bee a captain with only half of her abilities active.
